A population of 2.5 million. So what's the excuse now? The previous stadium had a country of 100,000 plus to fill it so maybe that could be used in that excuse.

Tell us the last time an international match of note was played at Sabina Park .The venue has been treated with disdain by CWI for too long.

Good point, they seemed to gravitate to Sir Viv and Daddy Sammy stadiums with population under 150,000 bodies per island expecting miracles.

People are in Football mode, JPL and schoolboy football are in knockout stages, this arbitrary cricket game will be ignored.

Wish CWI had someone cover the damn area, it is crap like this that turns people away.
Geeze, hot bright sun, but they cannot play b/c the people in charge doh have a lil common sense to cover the damn square.

.

Samuel Badree says it's "extremely hot" out there but there are still areas of concern - two areas adjacent to the pitch on either side are still wet. He informs us that the groundstaff have put a lot of sand on the wet areas.

"The hope is that this sand will absorb the moisture, so it's acting sort of like a drying agent. In addition to that, they were rolling the surface over quite a lot of times just for it to form a crust. I can tell you what though, it's extremely hot out here in the middle. The weather has been kind, it has been cooperating, but those rainfalls overnight and yesterday is what has caused these areas of concern. The breaking news then, the umpires have decided that there will be another inspection at 2pm, and we're getting closer, I think, for the start of this Test match."
