Losing to Bangladesh at home is shameful

Well probably lose to them in Bangladesh, no doubt about that, but losing at home isn’t good.

While we are already minnows, we should win at home at least against fellow minnows.

Afghanistan will probably beat us on tests comfortably and ireland too!

Shameful indeed! Pathetic batting in both innings.

What makes it disgraceful. Bangladesh has a good bowling attack and batting comparable to ours

At the end of the day, 2 fairly evenly matched teams.

Both with fairly decent bowling attacks with WI maybe having the edge there.

Both with fragile batting lineups.

Rana made a BIG difference to Bangla in the 2nd test

Why is it shameful? This comment diminishes the quality and growth of Bangladesh's cricket and shows how far we have fallen. It is high time that West Indian fans stop living in the past and accept that those glory days are gone, never to be repeated.
You can lament and change the team how much you like, the result will be the same. Cricket is dead in the Caribbean and the only people who care are old fans.

You guys acting as if it's the first at home whipping we've gotten from Bangladesh.

Please, let's not forget the SCABs episode. We're still trying to dig ourselves out of the hole created then.

Nothing shameful about losing to a better side, wheel and come back better is what is lacking, seems everytime a record is broken for the opposition. Maybe its time for the skipper to relinquish the captaincy and concentrate on scoring. Joshua is a real problem, alick for a number 4 is not ready should be batting 6 if he continues be selected. Its a squad that needs some tinkering but overall they can be worked with. Really need a star batsman though, not sure if any exists in the Caribbean for this level

Losing to any team ...home or away can not be shame... specially in case of Bangladesh.....
Bangladesh has been playing good cricket....beat New Zealand in New Zealand....Beat Pakistan in Pakistan....only recently, due to non- cricket reason...team was in disarray.....

Bangladesh lost 1st test only because of Greaves- Roach partnership....there was not much difference between teams.....

Remember, both are lowest rank test team.... Bangladesh above West Indies....

West Indies will finish at the bottom of the table. It is better for our cricket that we play 2nd div Test cricket. I believe a divisional system for test cricket, with promotion/demotion. Traditional series like Eng vs WI can still be played for bonus points for the lower ranked opposition. It also sets up a proper pathway for teams entering test cricket. You can technically lose your test status if you not good enough to stay in division 2.

Div 1 (Test)
Aus, India, NZ, SL, SA, Eng

Div 2 (Test)
Pak, Bang, Ire, WI, Zim, Afg

Div 3 (FC)
Netherlands, Scotland, USA, Canada, Nepal, Namibia, UAE, Oman

Div 4 (non FC 3 day matches)
Highest ranked or developed 8 teams below above..

not a bad idea. the problem is though that bigger countries like england that dont travel well, historically, can manipulate the scheduling to make sure they play the vast majority of their games at home. but we cannot beat any of those top tier nations on the road(we are barely competitive to be fair) and stand only a slightly better chance of doing it at home. its definitely a fair division.

With the smaller number of teams in the WTC schedule..might be possible to make it "fair".

No divisions for the test nations, cricket will be destroyed. Tek yuh licks and try do better. Yyou cant blame everything on, and try to correct it because West Indies tekking licks now. We used to dominate before but others have improved while we are out of vison

Poor test selection and lack of adequate development for talented young WI batsmen will further decline WI ranking into an Associate team. When fans are overwhelm with homie picks despite poor performances, that’s the knell in WI cricket coffin.

In my opinion these batters are not even good test batters and when they do not perform at FC or List A they should not be made to walk in a WI team as if they were Greenidge Richards Gomes Dujon and Lloyd.

Only Greaves Of the WI test players performed well in the Super 50 and he indeed topped the batting averages and assured WI of a victory in the series.

The others seriously underperformed in the Super 50 .

Bangladesh win a Test in the West Indies after a gap of 15 years. In the interim, they had lost seven consecutive Tests on these islands, including the first match of this series in Antigua. But they've roared back at the iconic Sabina Park to finish the series 1-1.
