In 2025.
That Shamar Joseph inspired victory caused the Aussies to ask for a third test when they tour next year. It will be the first series in the next Test Championship Cycle
Grenada, Jamaica and St Kitts, it is my hope, they will get these matches.
It is my hope that Barbados and Antigua not get test matches during this series.

SHAMAR INSPIRED- AUSSIES TO PLAY 3 TESTS IN WI
In reply to Emir
Why play cricket in St Kitts when you have more chickens at the ground that spectators. Also only junior cricket (15 years and under) should be played there as the ground is as big as a ten cent piece. Too small for test cricket.

Certainly some brilliant bowling by Shamar was inspirational but there was also some inspirational batting by Kirk McKenzie. When more seasoned WI test batsmen were hopping, skipping and running from the Australian bowlers, the young cricketer shouldered the batting to back up Shamar’s brilliant bowling. So, how does WI rewarded the youth? No wonder many WI youths not interested in playing cricket.
no question it was shamars performance that led to this, but he was well backed up his team members. The aussie pitches are much different than West Indies' though

definitely not. their recalcitrance and brinksmanship borders on the offensive. Just for Barbados' behavior this year alone, they should be left out. Jamaica yes, they've been left out for too long. Grenada too

yuh know is Da Silva,Hodge, and Sinclair that got us to 300+, the highest total ever against Australia in 12 D/N tests after Kraigg and the top order did nothing. i doh know how his incompetence does escape scrutiny yuh know. but yes, mckenzie's batting in the 2nd innings was excellent. the only dude from either side who read the pitch well enough to play dead straight. and as we saw, every run counted for something, BTW, mckenzie was dealt with vvery unfirly during the english series, very few visiting batsmen succeed in england on first try.
I was just reading about this announcement over on cricinfo. Really pleased to see that an extra test match has been added to series, more of the same going forward, hopefully!
It will be the opening series of the next World Test Championship cycle too, so added incentive to perform better than the past few series (ENG, SAF & BAN)

EXACTLY!!!!
Nothing more to be said.
Definitely Jamaica and St Lucia with possibly QPO or Providence for the third test. We need pitches with life and WI needs to pick a good spinner to go with their seam attack. We need 5 bowlers to challenge Oz, not four.

We need batsmen. We can't score 200 against Bangladesh at home, the bowling attack is not the issue

Are you saying the incumbent spinner, Gudakesh Motie, is not good enough?
The reality is that the Aussies will likely dictate where they want to play. And CWI will be happy to accommodate them.
True…..they’re not the English……but they close enough.

Are you a fan of Toronto Maple Leaf?
Meant to ask you that question some time ago.
My niece's husband is a fan, he left TO in the early 70's and buys every New Jersey of all the Toronto teams.
Torontonians are the most loyal sports fans in the world.
Remind the board the last year, the Maple Leafs won a tournament, yet the place is sold out every night.

Yes
Flames once won a tournament. Never came close before or since.

We give the CFL and the NHL bragging rights to the Oilers and the Elks.
My son and I went to the first game of the season; we were the only two without the Flames jersey
The marketing of the product is out of this world.
Thousands of people dress in red, and Saddledome fills every game.

Well…..NHL teams tend to play their best players. And pay them accordingly.
And they don’t pick the vast majority of the team from one country either.

Stop being a hypocrite. You and the Trini posse went to the moon, and back when the majority of West Indians playing in the IPL was from T&T, with Narine coming to the end of his career, Pooran has the heaviest load among all the Islands.
The decline of Redfore players in the IPL reminds me of Sir Gary running through T&T, one evening.
that memory is always fresh.

Gayle was dropped after one test in England, Sars withdrawn from the Oz series after just one or two test and replaced by Marlon who had only one FC match to his name four yrs prior. Sometimes mgt take measures they think necessary to protect/save one they think will be good in due time
