Argument that you need a good FC background to play any kind of international cricket remains valid. You simply cannot be of international standard for anything if you only play franchise T10 and T20 cricket. You may get lucky once in a while but not much more than that. Posters will now point me to Rutherford's current rich vein of form but my response is: why only Rutherford and not the rest of them as well???
