Is there something wrong with Aljo?

Discourse 2024-12-10 13:30:34

Just in: Alzarri Joseph has been fined 25% of his match fee for "the use of an audible obscenity" during the first ODI of the series. In addition to this, one demerit point was added to Joseph's disciplinary record - it was his first offence in the 24-month period under consideration. The ICC said that the incident took place before play during an exchange with the fourth umpire Gregory Brathwaite, who had asked Joseph to refrain from stepping on to the pitch with his spikes on.

Seriously!

...and then dropped

Aljo needs to exercise better control as this was him cussing the 4th Umpire before the match? I have not issues with a little competitive banter during the match as it is good Tele. Seales getting reprimanded in the heat of the battle during the game is not an issue for me once he does not cross the line as in a physical altercation. Aljo is normally rested anyways so would not make much of this.

This boy is out of control the soft punishments received for reprehensible misconduct encourages more disgusting behavior. Does stick man scammy and the dottie controlled CWI see him as indispensable hence the kid glove treatment? An extremely long ban and huge fines are the way to go. There's been no adjustments in this boy's disrespectful conduct over the years. Would be interesting to hear what his teammates and captains think of his repeat offenses.

Perhaps you could share more on his reprehensible conduct.

Bajan payback, for standing up to their arrogance.

That walking off was unacceptable. Still I get your point about arrogance.

The man walks off the pitch, disrespected the vice-captain, a couple of years ago did the same to Pooran and you posting about Bajan arrogance.

I must have missed that one. When did Siraj cuss an umpire and got away with it?

I am puzzled by your statement. Who exactly are you claiming was arrogant? Hope by refusing whatever Aljo requested in the walkoff game? Umpire Brathwaite prior to the first ODI? And what exactly was the payback? Being dropped by captain Hope? Or charges being brought by umpire Brathwaite?

Spot on Allan!! They've been doing that for a while.

McGrath was always cursing batsmen, especially Lara. Got away with that for years.
It's almost as if they wanted to ensure we knew our place. They certainly made sure Rabada stayed in his. Those folks are incredibly selective, I tell you.
