kambli's problems were himself, the fact the west indies in 1994 exposed his weakness against short pitched bowling and finally his caste. kambli was born into a dalit family and Indian cricket is still rife with regionalism and caste bias. sreesanth, as outtatimin and irritating as he was was india's best fast bowler between 2006-2010 but was from kochi in kerala, not a hot bed in indian cricket and the antagonism and indifference were almost palpable

Kapil is a good human being. So still hasn't fully grasped what prejudice and ostracization an do to the human mind. If, the mind is already screwed when one then gets addicted to "substance" that's a real struggle. Danny Germs, Herbert Chang, David Murray...
