T&T and Jamaica are 60 years plus after independence; if they did the above, why is Singapore a first-world country?
The two Caribbean entities are languishing, one getting out of IMF and the other being warned.
What has increased the efficacy of public service?
Water
Infrastructure
Electricity...( tobago blackout afew days ago)
Inefficiency at Pt Lisas.....so one saw the lack of Natural gas
Porous roads ...with a pitch lake?
PetroTrin ...going bankrupt having an oil deposit and tar sands
The tar sands T&T is clueless about?
I was born in T&T, and my heart lies in its lack of development (Signapore), over US$450 billion received to date for mineral wealth.
Look at the poverty level, lack of homes, and when built on flood plains. murder, crime, and over $6 billion left the country in investments over the last 5 years. Guyana bound
This is what I am seeing and no help in sight. Where is the leadership?
Yew wanted to keep its brightest citizens home and employed. He received a salary almost equivalent to his ministers.

His education agenda wasn't broad-streamed; he identified areas where education would help his country move forward.
Trinidad has done that. The vast majority of university graduates you'll find outside of TT would be engineers and technicians in engineering fields. That is because we have a heavily industrialized economy. to service an industrialized economy, you need engineers and technicians. Ditto with Jamaica, when bauxite ruled the roost, the vast majority of Jamaican graduates were engineers and technicians because that is what is needed to service the bauxite industry.
