Steupppppssss.

Why not Jangoo??

Scammy stupid.

Always homeboys first.

dayne 2024-12-15 12:43:59

Why not Mayers, but I guess Fletcher is close by that's why he was included

And how far is Jangoo?

dayne 2024-12-15 15:21:57

Jangoo is back in Trinidad, it is too early to introduce Jangoo to T20 internationals.

Really???
It's too early to introduce him to ODI's.

We are recycling jokers, while the cream of the crop keep getting overlooked.

Jangoo got his chance in the last ODI because of injuries.

Even if he is not in the playing 11, while should he not replace Lewis in the squad.

We could have capitalized on his good form and great introduction in International cricket.

Hey, I no Hexpert.

OMG why Scammy keep holding onto Fletchial and Jonno Charles. They are pensioners who can't play IPL let alone T20Is. Carty, Greaves, Springer, and Hinds also do not belong in the squad yet.

Good to see McCoy back, but we will be missing Russell, Lewis, Rutherford, Hope, and Hetty. Jangoo is a good prospect for the middle order. We will need our strongest squad back for the next world cup. Shamar needs a good IPL to get back into contention.

1. Lewis
2. King
3. Hope
4. Pooran
5. Hetmyer
6. Rutherford
7. Powell
8. Russell
9. Shepherd
10. Motie
11. Hosein
12. Alzarri
13. Shamar
14. McCoy
15. Chase

So Johnson Charles being the highest run scoring opener in the most recent CPL doesn’t count?

Who should replace him? Nandu?

Seechy 2024-12-15 16:18:41

In reply to imusic

Top scoring in our down bad CPL is not a good metric to judge. Put him in a T20I or IPL match and his strike rate is barely 100!

Our first choice openers are Lewis, King, and Hope. Nandu in T20 you're having a laugh! lol If the top 3 are not available, I would rather go back to Mayers or try Greaves. That's why Greaves is probably in the T20I squad right now - to cover for Lewis.

Unfortunately not many decent batsmen selected for this series, so the starting XI could look something like:

King
Greaves
Pooran
Carty
Chase
Powell
Shepherd
Motie
Hosein
Alzarri
McCoy

Let’s stop the name calling
Fletcher has served us well but that being said, I believe it not his time
There are more suitable candidates and Jangoo top the list

You are wrong on Johnson Charles
Listen to the commentaries not just his scoring

Johnson Charles' issue has never been about pace bowling but leggies and left arm spinners who take the ball away from him. He made the adjustment by implementing the switch hit in his repertoire of strokes so now he is playing with the spin. He gained confidence with it this CPL and I am looking forward to seeing him employ it at the international level.

I cannot believe anyone would question his selection after his CPL exploits that led SLK to their first title.

Fletchial is a surprise pick for me but I have also questioned his decline for SKNP but he made me a fool so I would warn against questioning his pick. Let Jangoo wait his turn and focus on the longer version ODIS and maybe Test Cricket.I am also suprised at Brandon King's ascension to the VC and now automatic selection when his form has been very questionable. Guess nobody wanted the poisoned chalice!

You’re spot on with respect to Johnno.
On Fletcher, let’s wait and see
I do believe Jangoo should play ahead of him
Jangoo is in the zone and I believe we should be doing everything to keep him there.
