Involved in 2 run outs

Take it on himself to see his team home and rectify the issue

Yes.

But……….

He’s also very smart.

From the test series, through to the ODI series and this T20’format, Jaker Ali has shown his strength to be to come across his stumps and work it on the onside.

Very effectively.

So he knew they would target wide and full to him. And he was able to adjust. Effectively.

The bowlers bowled to instruction, but were themselves unable / unwilling / unable to adjust themselves.

And when they tried to adjust to bowl at the stumps, they got deposited over long on.

Brilliant batting by the bad man

I find he telegraphs the scoop by kneeling early, yet still the bowlers don’t/can’t react

I would lke to see him bat like that against top teams, we have crappy pace bowlers.
Bowl around the wicket bowl fast Yorkers at his leg stump. Y’all think he could bat like that against good fast bowlers going across his stumps to play through the on side?

thing is that throughout the tour, Jaker was more than good enough for us in every format. Proving yet again that the specialist T20 batting shite that we promote DOES NOT WORK. Sammy needs to get together the 10 best batsmen who are willing to make themselves available to play any format and work with them for 2025. He can throw a farewell party to those who prefer franchise cricket only, no matter how highly paid they are.
