The Independent Voice of West Indies Cricket

Almost like 3-0 after 0-11 vs Bangladesh never happened?

Unbelievable!

Then we lost our two best batsmen in white ball cricket in Rutherford and Hope so we were bound to struggle. Hugely disappointed to go 0-3 in front of full crowds all 3 nights at Arnos vale but some selection blunders and poor decisions on the toss cosy us daily.

These are things that can and will be corrected going forward!

Such has been said over the past 3 decades...

How many more corrections and going forward are there?rolleyes

Bangla missed a few of their best players also.

Whats the excuse now?

Did you hear what some of them said—that they were properly prepared for this series and knew their opponents weaknesses?

Who do you think prepared them?

Ok Phil's buddy.

In T20IS you can get away with that but in Test Cricket that should have never been the case.

They were so well prepared that they got beaten 3-0 in the ODIS.

Such has been said over the past 3 decades..

Well each administration deserves time to make the ship right.

Like the optimism.

For me, the crowds in St Vincent was the best part of the series as it shows our people in the region still love cricket and we can still fill stadiums despite the dysfunctional body called CWI.

On to the results for the test, what it shows is Bangla hit back very hard when WI did not expect it. I believe poor captaincy and woeful batting by the captain played a big part.

The ODI, Bangla's has been very good in ODI during the cycle notes, we showed what our true potential could be.

T-20's- something is wrong, an over reliance on Pooran's batting and Hosein's bowling can only take the team that far, and when Pooran, who appears jaded, fails, the team falls. Pooran needs a strong platform by the openers to shine, having to literally open the batting is not good for him.

When a team have King, Fletcher and Charles in the line up, and the pitch takes spin, they can be one ball from a collapse. For wickets that take spin or assist the bowlers, WI need an anchor like Hope in the line up.

Also Fletcher and Charles are not the future and King must fix his flaws, he can no longer be two over dasher.

Out T20 team lack a death bowler a well.
