With all those accolades, I am left to wonder which Jamaica , did I grow up in ? Not the Miss World part or the stamp.
May she RIP.

Jka won Miss World a few times five or six I think. Has any other West Indian nation won. I don’t remember. Big up Jka.

The question was about Miss World, not Donald Trump's Miss Universe.

RIP Joan.

RIP Pioneer...Jamaicans enjoyed your feat immensely on that day in 1963.
Your were and will always be a credit to all Jamaicans.

Jamaica has won the title 4 times and Michelle Harris 1980 was obscenely robbed of the title. The winner literally took the crown off her head and placed it on Michelle's head.

It was the most disgraceful decision against a Jamaican in competition trailed by:

1. Michael McCallum 1976 Olympic Games 1/4 final bout
2. Kaci Fennell's denial of the Ms Universe title in

trump owned it from 96-2015....if he was there in those politically tumultuous times in 1977, i'm not sure penny would have won

Poli-tricking wasn't the type of tricking Trump was concerned with in 1977, so she'd be fine if she played ball.

I know of 3 Joan, Cindy and Lisa. Theresa's an a very intelligent and absolutely beautiful one (my opinion) who shockingly came 5th in. One of either Ms World or another. Just can't remember her name.

Allison Jean Barnett was very pretty. She was about 1986 or so. Didn’t do great on the interview but she was stunning. I think she and Michelle Harris (about 1980) were robbed.

The Rasta doc was one beautiful, intelligent, charming young woman who should've placed higher too. The locks was too much for the judges maybe?
