Welcome to the future.

Thinking he won’t be a flash in the pan.

Kudos to Aussies for out of the box mindset.

Commentators salivating over Konstas play. In a test match

Not one bouncer to the body. This guy is a danger to himself.
One bouncer while he premeditates and he’s done.

Fraser- McGurk is in the same mold too.

Pant too... meanwhile WI got de likes of captain slow poke.

Where is Cameron Green these days? OZ got some serious young talent coming through.

Not sure about that... most OZ batsmen are good against the short stuff.

When you’re already in position before the bowler releases the ball it’s difficult to evade.

It’s not so much how much runs he makes…..and right now….its coming off for him.

It’s about the approach and the mindset.

We led the way with our approach to batting…..and they ridiculed us for it.

Now they adopt it and claiming they invent it.

Bazball, Aussies etc.

Meanwhile…..we contrive to produce strokeless caricatures of batsmen in test cricket……completely going what was once natural for us

imusic 2024-12-26 00:30:55

The Indian commentator just said it

The path forward to test cricket is not going to come from red ball cricket.

It’s going to come from T20

Take that in and digest it.

Fraser- McGurk is in the same mold too.

The left handed opener from England Duckett in the same mould too.

But, he has only played 2 T20 matches!
Not his preferred format apparently.

Me thinks that boy needs more four-day cricket to temper his approach

Fantom 2024-12-26 18:13:41

To those who say no bouncers, some short balls were met early as he was dancing - more like charging - down the pitch to some deliveries. It all seemed premeditated to me but the India game plan of attack was disrupted. Sometimes, that is all you can ask for as a batting team. Khawaja was allowed to settle ended up with his first half century of the series so far.

The Aussies selected Konstas specifically to target and disrupt Bumrah.

The strategy succeeded this time.

More importantly, it shows that the traditional way of evaluating players for test cricket is changing and has already changed.

Some other teams should take note.

WI did the same with the likes of Nathaniel and Xavier. All 3 let themselves down however. This guy's environment will be different
