Miller the many time regional bowling champion, has been selected as one of the West Indies coaches, specifically to work with our spin bowlers. When we consider the career of Miller who topped regional bowling for almost five years before he was even considered for even a look in, we all know that if he was from another island, this would never have happened. Anyway, congrats to him, he does have a lot of experience to share with our young spinners.

This is a very good move, , we have many past talents that is worth bringing onboard to help uplift West Indies Cricket. I congratulate and salute, Shallow and Basscome, for looking within ,at exploring local talents.
And he is a certified caoch, not sure the level.
Why wi dont hire proper coaches instead of bargain shopping reifer adams now miller,.miller was a ordinary spinner a regional first class bully like a lot of wi spinners what can he teach the spinners in the caribbean to elevate their game to be match winners at the highest level ?

The best players never make the best coach, so you are chatting from your ass. You okay with Sammy though. Kmt.

While we discuss the effectiveness of Miller as spin coach..... Shallow trying hard to please directors of different boards before President election in few months....
Appointment of Sammy in such haste...
Now suddenly replacing fielding coach Griffith with spin coach Miller.... although Franklin there as bowling coach..
These decisions are not cricket related but election related.....
Guyana and Barbados not voting for Shallow....
Jamaica appeasement rather than cricket call...
Miller is a certified coach.....has been working as coach since 2019.... Wish him well.....

Another island like where Ranjie Nanan is from?
Or another territory where Veerasammy Permaul is from?
In reply to Slipfeeler
Slippy did you see the OT over in the BPL? Yuh think Miller could turn him into a spinner? I don't think the pace thing working out for him.
In reply to Slipfeeler
When he did make the team it confirmed what we all suspected that leftie orthodox spinners who dont turn the ball but can bowl accurately will clean up batters in our regional cricket, but have little impact at the international level. The Courtney (We dont play draw cricket) Browne champion team was led by leftie spinner Winston Reid despite some top pacers still being around the team. Reid never got a look in for the Wi team, but rightly so. Hardly turned the ball but was still too goo for our regional batsmen

Im not happy with anyone of them we have a serious coaching problem in the west indies we keep harping on about how bad the fc system is and the players.but the regional coaches with all their fancy certificates get a pass.reifer keeps getting rotated around in diferent position coach ,assistant ,batting coach in the wi organisation despite a lack of tangible success.i dont know what qualifications sammy or adams have except having played for wi cricket.
Back to miller was he not attached to the jam squad?djd they get better? spin bowling is tbe hardest speciality and west indies have not produced many int quality in decades.
This is bottom of the barrel discount hiring they dont want to shell out for foreign coaches
In reply to velo
Agree......that hiring a good international coach .... Should be one of the priority of CWI....
Mushtaq was spin consultant of CWI in 2019...
But this Administration West Indies first policy....
Then hiring Shaun Tait...now Franklin....
Now, Team has two separate bowling coaches..
WE DO NOT HAVE FIELDING COACH!!!
Totally non sensical....
Any comments...

I honestly believe Miller is a great addition.
In reply to Edrich
This is to secure the yardie vote in the election.
In reply to natty_forever
Touchie, touchy ,Natty to the rescue of his hommie.
In reply to tc1
So you are saying that Floyd and Rayon are victims of CWI election politricks? That will teach Conde and the GCB a lesson. Well at least Floyd and Rayon were replaced by coaches with Level III certificates

In reply to Walco
It seems to me that Shallow needs to secure the yardie vote in this year election, he feels that he has the Leewards, Windwards, andTnT by appointing another yardie as coach he might secure their vote in the general election.
In reply to Slipfeeler
Marlon Samuels still looking for him to spin him pon he head..
In reply to tc1
What if Miller is simply the most qualified for the job?
In reply to imusic
Even if Miller is the most qualified Shallow could have given him the nod to curry Favour.
In reply to tc1
So essentially you’re saying Shallow appoints coaches
In reply to imusic
I suspect that Shallow played a key role in the selection of someone without a Level III coaching certificate as West Indies head white ball coach. And we all know that past CWI Presidents have picked cricket teams.
In reply to tc1
So only you allowed to do it?
Did Miller's "previous coaching stint" last as long as his test career?
In reply to natty_forever
Thus, we are equal employer.
In reply to imusic
I post that Shallow may curry favor by the appointment of a yardie as coach in an election that Bim and Guy might opposed him.
In reply to velo
I'll have to admit that Rawl "Make Dem Bawl" Lewis would make a much better coach.
Even "Shilly Pon De Telly" would have a whole lot more on offer.
In reply to tc1
I like the addition of miller, WI Cricket administration is on the right path. D. Haynes is out, just some minor, changes required in the new year. Firstly, Brathwaite, has to go. Secondly, bring in Shiv or Devon Smith as batting coach.
In reply to tc1
I am nothing like you. I fight regardless of the nation of birth, once I see fuckery.
In reply to natty_forever
Stop the better than thou, check your recent posts defending the newly elected CEO, Andre, etc etc.
In reply to Logic
You are describing most WI spinners, so based on your argument we should forget about ever selecting any spinners to WI teams?
In reply to Slipfeeler
Congratulations Killa
In reply to velo
Not making a case for Miller, however, you do know some of the best coaches were ordinary players?
In reply to Drapsey
What evidence do you have that he would? As you present your evidence please add an illustration of him translating what he could do to another player in a successful manner. I wait.........
In reply to JoeGrine
Your sarcasm detector needs to be recalibrated boss

In reply to Walco
More like we need to check what is being served in the rum bar as some of these conclusions make a drunk turn sober.
In reply to tc1
So what, Barbados angry, they got rid of Haynes, Guyana’s angry, they hired Sammy over Shiv, you don’t have a problem with that, I don’t blame them for going after Jamaica vote. Politics 101.
In reply to imusic
You post what I thought so thank you.
In reply to JoeGrine
So, if I had limited my sentiments to Rawl "Make Dem Bawl" Lewis, you wouldn't have a problem with my post?
I'm only asking because you've singled out the Shilly reference.
In reply to JoeGrine
So you have been on this site for 15 years and still have not figured out that 99% of Drapsey's posts are laced with sarcasm and/or humor???
So Miller is just with the team for the Pakistan series because Rayon Griffith is unavailable.
Don't think CWI will be getting rid of Griffith... he's a yes man and knows how to remain relevant in de system.
In reply to tc1
That’s your opinion. Regardless, if it’s true or not, , congrats, Miller, prove the naysayers wrong.
In reply to anthonyp
Griffith is Sammy’s “gaffer”. Wherever Sammy goes, Griffith and Reifer likely to follow.
In reply to Drapsey
You are yet to provide the evidence of "Shilly" being able to deliver as a coach. As for Rawle Lewis, I am not sure if he has had coaching success and I trod not where I knoweth not. So I am awaiting the evidence that "even Shilly Pon De Telly would have a whole lot more on offer".
