Lies and Misinformation will kill Democracy.

What's happening in California is a perfect example as the MAGA Right starts fine tuning their talking to attack a Democrat Governor and Mayor

It seems that is what the Trump-Musk co-presidency is all about. Not to miss out on the action and potential benefits, the oligarch-class is lining up with their money. After all, Musk must not be seen to be the major beneficiary of the coming turmoil, once Trump extracts his piece of the pie for himself and other members of his family.

The question is whether America and the other western countries Musk has in his crosshairs survive the next four years as free and open democracies.

It is politics.
The Democrats have to stop playing god with social issues.

Over the last 10 years, 576 public officials in California have been convicted on federal corruption charges, according to Justice Department reports, exceeding the number of cases in states better known for public corruption, including New York, New Jersey and Illinois.

California has a larger population than those states, but the recent wave of cases is attributable to much more than that, federal prosecutors say.

A heavy concentration of power at Los Angeles City Hall, the receding presence of local news media, a population that often tunes out local politics and a growing Democratic supermajority in state government have all helped insulate officeholders from damage, political analysts said.

yuh ent tired of parroting one-sided manufactured outrage?

Like most of the echo-chamber, here and in the real world, you're buying into the narrative that pits Musk and Trump as the villains of some fantastic conspiracy.

Unfortunately for you and other delusional misfits who share this view, you deliberately choose to get your information from just one side of the political divide. It would do your collective mental health a world of good to source information from a wider range of perspectives, rather than relying solely on sources that reinforce your confirmation biases.

I am a liberal.
I will not follow fools around; I gave up on Justin after his first term, it seemed to me the name made a difference to liberals, he should have been replaced a decade ago.
