For those of you that like to use England as the standard of how to handle players

Remember they NOW reach the stage more or less that we were at a few years ago

James Vince believes that the ECB's new policy on No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) is inadvertently driving players away from first-class cricket and towards the franchise T20 circuit.

Thanks for featuring this! I hoped it would have gained traction and elicited a robust discourse. Alas!

Indeed the most recognizable first class system in the world is now coming to grips with the pull of franchise cricket and it makes for ugly viewing. The ECB is sitting on a powder keg. I'm closely watching. The county cricket player no longer feels wedded to the system. Chaotic times ahead!
