Open the batting with Motie and Louis, Warrican

voiceofreason 2025-01-25 15:52:02

Unconventional times demands and unconventional approach.

Motie
Louis
Warrican
Brathwaite
then the rest.

However Coley is a joke. Thankfully this is his last series!

voiceofreason 2025-01-25 15:54:50

Counter- attacking is our only chance. Need at least 200 to win this!

I agree 100%. Motie has done well opening the bowling, so I say give him a chance to open the batting and build partnerships throughout the order. Drop Kraigg and Jangoo further down the order to face an older ball. We need at least 230 to feel safe.

Motie
Louis
Roach
Warrican
Athanaze
Brathwaite
Jangoo
Hodge
Greaves
Imlach
Sinclair

After the first test, I said the difference between the two teams is 100 partnerships.
In the three innings both teams batted, we saw how difficult the wicket is, it reminded me of calling QPO to get the score when Viv was facing a T&T mystery spinner, also watching Sir Everton batting on a rain-affected wicket.
Pakistan wicket will bite them, let us hope this series is drawn.

I am not sure why we are so hesitant to make adjustments to our test batting based on the circumstances and form. We do it in white ball cricket. What we have to lose?

Love your lineup except not sure about Roach at 3 and Brathwaite batting too high lol let him bring up the tail:

Motie
Louis
Warrican
Athanaze
Hodge
Jangoo
Sinclair
Greaves
Brathwaite
Imlach
Roach

One of the problems is that they open with Louis but opening means nothing in this series where spinners bowl from the get go. That is why Silva would probably have been a better choice to "open"

anthonyp 2025-01-25 21:04:45

Switch the batting order around... let the bowlers bat first.

Open with Roach and Motie

Let Warrican bat at 3.

The tailenders could follow.... lol

And if the fall cheaply. Done by tea.

Opening with the tail, this is how much you guys know about this game,The tail cannot bat at the top, they are useful at the bottom where they suppose to bat freely.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

They think facing the Pakistani spinners with a soft ball is the same as facing them on that track with a hard ball.

Same thing I said about Coley.

When the man saw how our top and middle order batsmen were struggling, all he had to do was pad up and insert himself in the batting line up. No wonder $ammy has displaced him.

I would think that its the other way around. I would think its easier to grip the older ball.

These are the performances of a match selectors, it is not humourous, The, Pakistan curators decided to prepare a wicket that assists spinners from the first ball.
Babar Azam the former captain and #3 batsman has scores of 5-8-0, which say plenty of the pitch.

I hope West Indies win this test

How much older was the ball then, considering the West Indies were 8 for 54 after barely 15 overs?

reversing the batting order would not make a hell of a lot of difference.

Adam is one of the best, I expect him to score a 50 or more in the next innings.

Well I so glad Coley didn’t listen to the Sammyites that try to set him up with this ‘thread of wisdom’ smile

That is why Coley is on the way out and Sammy on the way in. He should listen more to Sammyites as we know what it is to win!
