Southwesterly winds will intensify through the day with gusts of 90 to 100 km/h this afternoon and evening. Winds will weaken through the overnight.

In addition, a strong cold front will move through the region tonight. [b]This front may be associated with bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow 5 to 10 cm
giving significantly reduced visibility along with a sharp temperature drop.[/b]

This intense snow squall will affect the GTA and Ottawa valley with heavy, blowing snow by Monday late evening
Hydro One reported more than 18,000 customers are without power as of Monday night.
Ahead of the snowfall, strong wind gusts above 90 km/h are possible across the snowbelts and up to 100 km/h across the northern shores of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. St. Catharines reported a 100 km/h wind gust.
This has led to power outages and closures of roads and bridges.

I went skiing on the weekend
