Follow this guy in FB, he exposes stuff about the administration of USA cricket that is mind boggling. Like how the split in the team as senior players insist in communicating in Hindi when in the dressing room and field of play against the expressed wishes of many of their team mates.
This is his latest:
In the spring of 2024, Netflix producers approached USA Cricket with a proposal to film a multi-episode behind the scenes original documentary series (similar concept to "Quarterback" and "Full Swing" original series on Netflix) following the journey of the USA Men's National Team through the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.
The show would have given unprecedented media exposure to USA's players and provided immeasurable PR to American cricket and the sport of cricket as a whole around the USA in pop culture. USA Men's squad members and staff were broadly supportive and in favor of the idea to give Netflix filming access to the team before and during the T20 World Cup.
Instead, USA Cricket administrators rejected the offer made by Netflix.
