Many people never figured out that because Obama was the most scrutinized President in American history, he could not do things specifically for people of color, if he had tried that he would have been impeached in a minute. However, this present administration seems like it is going to inflict some pain on most people, when the effects from the tariffs kick in inflation will hurt most of the people who voted for Trump

I personally do not think any President should be doing that for many reasons. A President is elected to be the leader for all. You help out the people of colour then what about the next group? And the next? Also there are rich black people, middle class black people and poor black people. There are healthy black people and sick black people.

The best you can do is address things that disproportionately affect black people like the criminal justice system. And Obama did try but there is only so much you can really do.

Well, there were certain things that Obama could not do because he would have been hammered politically, for example, in the last days of Trump's first term he increased the funding for the HBCU's in order to get some Black votes, if Obama had done that it would have turned out to be a political scandal. However, Presidents do special things for groups of people all the time, Trump lowers taxes for the very rich, he cancelled membership with the World body for Climate control as a favor to the oil and gas industry, politicians do favors for the biggest donors
