Lakers secured their future they have a 25 year old star to build around when lebron goes.smart move for them the mavs dont know where they going with this davis is a good player but often injured .they are very unlikely to get out of the west .

As a loooong time Laker fan..I have the same question. I guess Vando and Finney-Smith will have to carry the defensive load....but not in the paint.

I promised myself to not let anything in this world surprise me in my ol age...but nah go lie...I didn't see this one coming at all.

I have a theory about what's happening here because of my lack of trust over the what is happening in America today...but I try will to not be too cynical.

I do not think either team will go far in the playoffs this season, but the Lakers, probably in the long term, got a better deal.

Maybe the NBA set this up to put Lakers in play for TV interest....people not into NBA these days
