I have been writing about Kraigg's tons from his school days, I never knew his FC tons were on par with UB and Ronnie.

I will keep Sarwan out of this for a moment as he is not an opener. Brathwaite is MEDIOCRE and for sure, a Gayle he is not. Flaunting one statistic (# of centuries) is forcing a narrative.

Asafa Powell ran more sub 10 second 100m that Usain Bolt, are they in the same stratosphere?
The aforementioned Sarwan scored more Test runs that George Headley, is he an equal to Headley?

Jim Laker took more wickets in one Test than Shane Warne ever did, is Laker the better or the equal to Warne?

You are normally a poster of sound reasoning, in this case, reasoning has left you.

Dude, if a player cannot bat and his tons are equal to some of the greats, would you continue saying he cannot bat?
Some people may not like his batting style, but as a great old me never underestimate a bowler with a ball or a batsman with a bat.
Respect them both.

I never said he cannot bat, I said he is MEDIOCRE!!!!

Rohan McDonald has the Jamaican 400m record, I would never consider him decent.

Robert Horry has more NBA titles than Moses Malone and Julius Irving, Horry was an average NBA player. You play in excess of 200FC matches the "blind squirrel" and the "broken clock" principles will come into play. Brathwaite is MEDIOCRE!!

How can someone with 33 tons and an average in test is among the top in this era be mediocre?
Are you saying that every batsman in the regime is mediocre?
You and others may not like his batting style, but to say he is mediocre, you would have to compare him to others within the region.
Can you name three better batsmen between 2009 and 2025?

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed person reigns supreme. He is MEDIORCE and most of the others in the region are more mediocre than he is.

Since you introduced "this era" into the conversation, we now consider 40 as the opener's average to be considered a West Indian great, his (33.1) falls woefully short.

Do you follow the West Indies?
Dude Gayle and Sarwan were the last two batsmen with an average of 40, my favourite regional batsman finished his career with a test and FC averages 58 and 55, I have seen the greats in eras since 1957.
I am not going to let anyone discredit Kraigg, because of his batting style.

How does Gayle and Sarwan buttress your point? I am not discussing with you if the region's batting cupboard is bare. I already said he is less mediocre than others, but it doesn't negate the fact that Kraigg Braithwaite is MEDIOCRE!!

This is his 33 FC tons, if he is mediocre, name others that you think are better.
Anyone can dislike a player's batting style, Chrissy did it to Shiv, but a mediocre batsman doesn't have 33 FC tons and tons against most of the International test teams.
If you are Jamaican ask Nikita Miller what he thinks of his batting.

Gayle whose name you referenced in highlighting # of centuries. Again, if you can somehow stay on point - The region is filled with mediocre batsmen, he is just less mediocre than most of the others. What is so hard to understand in that?

I don't give a rat's rectum about batting style, in fact, I enjoyed Jimmy Adams at the wicket as his presence there gave us hope of stability at one end. Surely you will agree with me that a stylist at the wicket Jimmy was not.

If you are Jamaican ask Nikita Miller what he thinks of his batting.

Your request is indicative of a high possibility that Nikita has glowing remarks for Brathwiate hence you're pointing me in that direction. As to what Nikita said and why he said it holds no water for me. Brathwaite is mediocre.
The very same Nikita was mediocre as a spinner, however, in the region, he will go down as one of the best ever, it just does not absolve him from being mediocre.

I sign off now!

Let me sign back on. I have always looked forward to your postings, however, clearly, my facts have touched a nerve with you. I have never attacked a poster or a player's person. I don't know Kraigg Brathwaite the person I know him the batter and I said he (as a batter) is MEDIOCRE! We were talking about batting and all my posts were about his batting.

You know nothing about my life to pass judgment on me, this only speaks poorly of you. When one resorts to ad hominem attacks, it confirms you have run out of ideas and or truths. I seriously thought you were above that! Yes Sir/Madam, Kraigg Brathwaite is MEDIOCRE!

A silly argument. A man with test hundreds vs Aus, Eng,SA, NZ, Pak, SL and Bang and then 32 FC hundreds including against Guy, T&T, JAM, Windards and Leewards cannot be mediocre.

WI have been spoilt with GIANTS SINCE the THREE Ws up to SHIV: But today in tests:no more.

Expectations for Brathwaite with 98 Tests to be a giant but he severely fallen short.

But you cant call him mediocre because he failed to be a GIANT.
