Poor Lanka?

Ozzies is one of the best team around,
despite the hatred people have for them.

When you think of Ozzies sans bias, you will rate them low.
But....they are really a very good team.
Not as good as past Ozz teams, but still a very good team.

Ever since somebody on this board (I forget the name, it being of no importance) said Smiffy couldn't bat, he's been getting hundred after hundred.

Australia takes its cricket seriously. They are a major force in world cricket and have all the required institutions on board.

Still - poor Sri Lanka. Dis is Murda.

The ‘engines’ of Australia, India and English cricket are constantly running at home and abroad. They will always have the advantage over the bottom five.
A plan needs to be in place to seriously challenge the big three. Boards need to organize tours on their own to go after them. To sit and wait crying for a bigger budget from the ICC is not a plan.

they're overrated. they lost to the WI, and to be fair, they were behind the 8 ball for the majority of that game, not just when shamar's spell blew them away. if shami was fit, india would have won that bg trophy, ponting himself said so.
If Shami, Bumrah and Siraj were in their starting team, I think things could have been completely different here in Australia," he concluded.

anytime australia encounters sustained decent bowling, they fold

Alex carey is the only dude who can seriously perform under pressure for a sustained period. If the WI had a more consistent batting lineup, we would have won that series last year.

The only team capable of doing that is the west indies. that 20 years of dominance seared Australia and especially the English badly. India were/are huge WI fans so they weren't traumatized by the beat downs like Australia and England. In fact once, Sanjay Mandrekar and that moron Kevin Pietersen were commentating in the IPL and the fair play points list came up. I believe Rajasthan Royals were at the top of the list but at the bottom of the IPL table. Pietersen said something to the effect that you can't be a nice team if you want to win. Mandrekar countered that the I dominated for 20 years and they were the fairest team ever.

This is a business, kill the competition.

The first stab to extract blood…
Mr Lloyd said that 70% of the ICC revenue are hungrily consumed by the big three.

The next
Create a two tier system so they fight for the scraps. Oh! and a side effect may cause the once dominant party to ask-yes beg to be broken up and weakened even further. Breaking up almost guarantees not seeing that dominant role again.

As a business, one must roll the dice and risk going broke to target the ‘elites’

Franchise Cricket
Like our Caribbean education system, free taxpayers education only to take all of it and serve foreign lands. A total loss.
