In my opinion, the NFL arrangers bombed on the half-time show, the music was not bad, but for those fans at the stadium and the general TV audience, the music was too deep in Hip-hop.

just because you did not enjoy something does not make it the worst.
the fact you think jackson was entertaining while separating him from the rest of the show speaks volumes.
I do not care for rap....barely understood a word of what was said....but I thought the presentation and execution was exceptional.
All the frantic dancing and jumping around is not entertainment.
this was well thought out and executed and told a story which i understand the genre is bout.
I thought the backdrop was excellent in telling a story.
it was artistic. samuel l jackson was added for you and others who do not understand that different is not bad. and you still missed it.

Concurring, the show was so bad that I must be getting old but I couldn’t understand what this guy was saying and when did music leave music? Next year they should get some Caribbean artists, Rihanna, Sean Paul, Romain Virgo and some Soca stars.

Yes he was. Jay-Z and the other people in charge of halftime music and entertainment could have done a better job with acoustics and his mic volume but it is what it is. Kendrick was rapping about social justice, politics, oppression, revolution and the effed up state of the world. But it's sad his message went over the heads of many.

Not a big k-Dot fan but the show was excellent. Still I dont expect it to appeal to most watchers especially those of a certain generation. Its just that the general superbowl audience want a show where they know the songs and can sing along or at least know the beat and alot of people of a certain age only learn about Kendrick from Not like Us last summer so it wouldnt have the same appeal as the Rhi Rhi or Usher or even the Dr Dre halftime shows.

I dont watch american football so i just stick around for the half time show .kendrick lamar is not everyones cup of tea certainly not mine .not the type of music you usually see at half time shows . .michael jackson, prince,beyonce ,shakira ,snoop dogg killed it when they did it
