He's (McKenzie) got a LOT of work to do, he has the shots, however, that is just a portion of what it takes to be a successful batter at this level.

What is the story with the Kid Jordan Johnson?
why cant he get into this weak Jamaican batting lineup?
In reply to Nyabinghi
He was supposed to be in the squad, you can pick one from:
1. school
2. ill-discipline
3. not good enough
4. injury
In reply to Brerzerk
Undeer normal circumstances, yes, however, with this batting lineup who do you promote to take his position?

Lack of decent keepers , the Bajan one not better
Been saying for the longest that Barbados had youngster who were hungry sitting at home doing nothing.
Drakes, Boucher, Clarke while not really being able to challenge the so called Brooks, Chase, Moseley, Dowrich etc.
Some now in their upper 20's or older yet just now getting regional experience. Good thing Wickham had the chance
with the Academy or he too would be blocked also.

Boucher and Drakes never lived up to their potential, they are performing better with age. Boucher was one of our better u16 players.
Drakes was on the u19 team with Pooran, King and Tage in 2014.

Add Jason.
In reply to tc1
Are you referring to Rashidi Boucher or Leniko Boucher?
In reply to openning
I am referring to Leniko,he was scoring double ton fromprimary school. .
Day 3 Kive stream
I will be back just before lunch
Time to bat Yard
In reply to Chrissy
The first session with supposedly their two best batsmen at the crease, will go a long way in deciding the outcome. I wonder how the wicket is going to play on day 3. There were quite a few deliveries that kept low yesterday. Interesting day ahead.
In reply to NYCGURU
Yes indeed
In reply to tc1
The first time I heard of Leniko was taking 5-wickets for Cawmere, my youngest brother knows my love for the sport and wanted to tell me of his performance.
Leniko's grandmother is from my district.
I did not hear any more of Leniko until he started scoring runs playing White ball cricket, he did very little at Cave Hill, he is now playing for Carlton, more a white ball player than a Redball.
Changing topics, Kevin Wickham went England to be coached on batting spin, returned to Bim, went into a T10 competition, and then into the 4-day competition, what was his preparation for the Red ball format?

Pathetic batting. Bowl dem out Yard
In reply to Chrissy
JA batters have no sense. The batting is atrocious. No awareness especially Smith
McCaskie gawn fi 4
In reply to buds
The side from JA is not as awful as some have been saying....I think some patience with each other is whats missing for them...some gelling as a unit.
I love Blackwoods maturity...hopefully between him and Campbell can get through to the others.

Campbell and Blackwood have to lead from in front, the others just a find them way. These 2 perform consistently we win.
Back to the drawing board. Serious problems continue
In reply to powen001
I love Blackwoods maturity...hopefully between him and Campbell can get through to the others.
"Maturity"? Blackwood is the same Blackwood. Campbell is one loose shot away from gifting his wicket. McKenzie is out of sorts. Glenn has no business batting at 5 on a decent batting team. Smith is not 4-day material. Beckford has been a MAJOR disappointment. That takes care of 6 of the first 7 batters so yes, Jamaica is not a good batting outfit and apart from Mindley, how has been bowling well, there is not another reliable bowler.
This Jamaican team is a "beat them for full points" team.
In reply to natty_forever
Jamaica should not have talent like Oshane and Shields playing outside....them even worse than Barbados.
In reply to JoeGrine
I hear yuh.. lol
Man ...I think the fellas not working together is the most glaring thing I saw...
and the confirmation I saw was the about of flailing arms and the giving up.
Yardies need some strong leadership to hone around...I am NOT counting out the Yardies just yet.
Mark my words.

Jason H?
In reply to powen001
Campbell's captaincy is admirable, however, a lack of talent (endemic to the region) and an overabundance of recklessness at the crease is hard to cure. Jamaica seems to have it in spades.
In reply to JoeGrine
I agree. Campbell always gives away his wicket cheaply. Smith is a bonehead.
In reply to JoeGrine
The plain truth
In reply to analyst-kid
VOR was say different.
In reply to buds
That's why bone head should play more 4 day cricket. At least he wants to play.
