Permaul and Moti

Both need to be left out, the team is very imbalance with both of them, also they are not effective enough, next to go if can't improve is Sinclair, I do think he is not even a 3rd decision bowler

I don't know if you guys are actually watching these games, permaul best days are way behind and Moti has desend into white ball bowler there is hardly any variation in them, if Sinclair can't play as a batsman he should not be in the team, these guys should not be given perennial spots, they do not strive to become better, it is time to give Nedd and Looknauth a run, by doing so every one will value their places more and will not take for granted

Btw you should congratulate Permaul... passed 650 FC wickets today... plus he will be around for a few more years just to give you some heartache...

Permaul is in a position where he’s good enough to continue playing and with all his experience challenge the younger batsmen coming through the system for better. He is also, one can argue, holding up a spot for a youngster to carve a path towards the senior team. For me whether he plays or not was never based on questions about his quality at this level. It’s about keeping an eye on the future as well.

Guyana has the habit of playing down to it's competition...but comes thru when things look bleak...never dull

Are you exhibiting bird flu symptoms or the cold weather affecting your bird brain or did you had one too many alcoholic drinks ? I thought alcohol was not allowed in the rum shop. It is freezing cold where I live.

Bird, without the invaluable contributions from Motie and Permaul, we would NOT have obtained first innings points in this match. Remember, Motie came to Guyana's rescue in the first innings with a vital 52 runs and was involved in a 112 runs partnership for the 7th wicket. Also, Motie took 2 wickets and Permaul took SIX repeat SIX wickets in the match. As a matter of fact, Permaul is the only WEST INDIES player to have 650 wickets. Get that !!

WI Academy went from 226 runs for 6 wickets to all out for 249 runs giving Guyana an improbable first innings lead of 4 runs and MOST IMPORTANTLY first innings points. The last four wickets were taken by Motie (1) and Permaul (3). We are the leader in the points standing. Bird, are you still there ? You seem to be falling asleep on me here. Not feeling well. WAKE UP, have some coffee, no more alcohol for you. WAKE UP before I put the jumbie on you !!!!

Which is why Motie needs to play more RED ball cricket. He needs some long spells on flat wickets to rediscover his guile

Permoul has been a faithful servant of WI cricket and was given a raw deal by WI no doubt, but the time has come for younger blood, his bowling figures are miss leading when you actually look at the
game, you see he is not that effective, he has to bowl too many deliveries to get those wickets, he seldom gets wicket in his first 10 overs, again these guys must not feel there is a ready made spot for them
i repeat they do not care to improve.
I am not considering Moti's batting, bowling is his primary job, for his batting to be consider he has to go up the order as an allrounder

Well if you dig deep you would find that the games barely lasted two and a half days…rain interruptions taken into consideration. For a spinner, the wickets didn’t deteriorate enough to give them even a slight advantage. I’ll say again if any others are fighting him for the spot then he should make way, eventually.

I already made an argument for Motie to bat higher and play some Jadeja innings for the WI.

When you’re drunk you ask for Motie to be dropped, when sober he should bat higher.

If you’re gonna drink, at least drink the best-El Dorado rum.
