I don't understand why modern leaders are so weak compared to the past - those who made promises to Ukraine should have gone in to help!

Putin only has nuclear power strength - their army is weak and can easily be beaten especially now that they are weakened by Ukraine - if not now when?

Europe is a lost cause - they can't agree on anything except a meeting here and there!

Ukraine is in a position where it is not a member of NATO so they are not covered by its security guarantees that protects all NATO members- You attack one, you attack all.
It seems on the break up of the soviet union it was a mistake to convince Ukraine to give up its nuclear weapons without any security guarantees because now Russia seems embolden and no deterrence for attacking them. That's why Finland went and joined NATO.
