Machel and Santokie will be debating with Basil Butcher Jr tomorrow whether Shiv is the greatest Guyanese player of all time (Uncles be losing their mind!). There'll be a Walter Rodney show later in the week too.

Look out for the content when it drops people.

Should be more greatest Guyanese batsman question if we talking about Shiv. But What would they use to compare- stats is the only neutral factor- runs-longevity-away centuries-home centuries. He certainly is up there in the top 3.
Another discussion I would like to see is greatest captain- west Indies and around the world and what are the qualities making a good captain.

Is Dr J Julius Erving the best basketball player ever or is he the most dynamic? Guyana had more dynamic batters than Shiv.

The greatest is a matter of personal opinion.
As we should know, this may be affected by nepotism.

I do not know the matrix for decided who is greatest.

I would say that Guyana produces many greats.
Shiv
Lloyd,
Kali etc.

What I do know is they are all great, and I am proud to be a West Indian
Especially as my local team is now Guyana.

I will leave the decision if who s the greatest to the zeitgeists/ aficionados and all other hexperts.

I am proud of all Guyanese Greats and love them all.
Who's the GOAT?
Nobody really knows.

Dem man biased against Shiv. Arguments weak: “ iKanhai could have made more hundreds if he didnt play like he did”,
Shiv batted at 5/6 and didnt bat higher like the West Indian strokemakers so his runs are not as good”
I stop listen man but on most social media from what I have seen the majority world wide respect and adore Shiv, its mostly his own among the few that like to critique him.Imagine if he had a few more decent batsmen to partner with.
I think he is second to Lara, but some people rather die than accept the truth sadly.
