That practice is not new....some Caribbean islands give citizenship (passports) for investments...always thought it was a problematic arrangement...

Question is who exactly benefits?
The US treasury or Trump with his devious and cunning self?

My bet is on the latter. Somehow some of that money will flow to West Palm.
Just like the phantom DOGE dollars.

The practice is widespread.

But. Echo chamber regulations dictate that nothing Trump does is good. So that's that.

I think about 10 or more Caribbean countries practice same; I see no harm in it! Jamaica should implement the policy to attract investment!

Don't believe that, when I visit Jamaica, I have to tell immigration when I am leaving, and they just walk in and set up shop?

Are you suggesting that gold cards are being sold undercover? I think most of the Chinese who recently migrated to Jamaica do so on the back of the building of the new road network and the spilloff thereof!

The majority of emigration needed by The US is for low-skilled jobs that Americans will not do such as farm, transportation and physical hospitality sector jobs.
For most ppl in the world who have $5-10M coming to The US is a disadvantage. The poor, the low-skilled and others with aspirations for their children is what's
traditionally fed 'Murcan' economic growth.
