It is a Friday night in Europe and a string of European leaders have come out publicly to express support for Zelensky and Ukraine.

I do not think Trump was ever interested in continuing support for Ukraine and Zelensky knew that. So he did not attempt to flatter—he was just blunt. And you are blunt with Trump, he loses control and his true colors show. In the end, the anyone who had some doubt, was able to see the new US position for what it was.
