Chris Gayle has been a remarkable and prolific batsman for West Indies, he scored the last triple test century as a West Indian and one of the first batsman in the world to scored the fastest T20 century. He actually scored two triple test centuries for West Indies.

333 ... lead footedness notwithstanding.
One of my favorite 'stats': Christopher Henry Gayle, alias UB, is the first batsman to hit the opening ball in a test for SIX. Yes, UB's unflattering reputation for lead-footedness 'conned' the Banglas into opening the bowing with the debuting spinner Sohag Gazi and, to use a popular adage, the rest is history.
Chris Gayle : First ball SIX in a Test Match
We are hopeful that West Indies batting will not end with Chris Gayle but future Brian Laras, Vivian Richards, Gordon Greenidges, Clive Lloyds, Rohan Khanai’s and Yagga Rowe’s will soon take centre stage in batting for West Indies.

I dont see them of that ilk at this moment wi batsmen are so timid now they just play for survival they cant play pace or spin its either block or big shot.

Well, we might need to find out what batting techniques and strategies Afghanistan and Bangladesh are both using to improve their batting performances, before they consistently surpass us. No joke matter!
Was hoping Myers would follow closer in the footsteps of Gayle.

Someone how I do not believe that our current batsmen are any less talented than our greats but I cannot understand what’s happening to West Indies batsmen today. Whether if it’s the over proliferation of T20 cricket and opportunities to make more money outside of test cricket, not sure why our batsmen are so inconsistent and lacks the commitment necessary to perform consistently as world-class players. Let’s make West Indies Cricket Great Again.
