All that is irrelevant if you don't have your compatriots and benefactors in place to hand you the West Indies captaincy and the West Indies coaching mantle without having to show the prerequisite qualification

I agree that he got a raw deal with the WI head coach position... but what makes him the best coach in the Caribbean?

Same reason he was made captain of the team when he couldn't make it on merit!

His only contribution was to spin toss and clap likeca mindless seal while the likes of Samuels, Shiv and GayleM etc did the heavy lifting .

In other words , he rode on the backs of those who did the things he himself was incapable of doing

What parameters were used to make Coley the best coach.....Started with win against Australia....series drawn....lost every other series... couldn't win at home against Bangladesh.....then , in last series of his career...a win against Pakistan..... series drawn....

How many series victory.....

Apart from victory.....A coach is at times known .....by the core team he built during his tenure .... looking at the test playing team.....the entire squad is in flux......no core players....

Although, I vehemently criticize Sammy' s appointment as white ball coach....I still consider his appointment as white and red ball coach is totally bad in law....but one should not shy away from the fact,that the white ball team specially ODI has made good progress....just 12 points behind top 6 teams..... core players has been formed....players are competing for spots....still works under progress but very good improvement...

Be that as it may, Removal of Coley is justified and a correct decision.....

Method and procedure adopted to appoint Sammy is bad, but Sammy should be given 1 years....to see not only wins but also how test team is built.....
