Guyana holding on to a very slim lead...

Red Force pace attack is a big test for Guyana's HE or any other Caribbean team,Josh James has been a revalation, able to move the ball around at pace, since his first match he has improved considerably,Seals and Phillip will also be a difficult duo for many batsmen.Red Force must rest off spinner B.Charles he has been a passenger in most of the matches, apart from the weaker ones,we must play an extra batsman because HE bowlers are a match for most.Any slipups and we can take the lead if we don't slip up.

Thanks bro .....

Not sure if I agree with you on resting Charles. it could be that like last year, he is only getting into his rhythm late in the season. The fact is that in the first few rounds, Pierre and Cariah were so outstanding and then in these last couple rounds the pacers were so good that Charles has been underbowled. Note that both Pierre and Cariah were not even needed in this last match. I think that the Force's strength lies in their very well balanced bowling attack and the lower order has shown that it can hold its own when the upper order is put under pressure. If Pooran can play as he did in Bim for the rest of the tournament, this will be the Force's best year in decades, no matter who lifts the Cup. They have now won 3 matches by an innings. Even the mighty HE have not done that.

Word is that Seales and Phillips heading to county cricket and will miss the remaining rounds.
Let's see how the remaining rounds goes... gonna go down to the last round though.

Tits cannot be HE without Seales and Phillips.

Thanks

Even with Seales and Philips, Tits cannot beat my Eagles.
Eagles has the best cappo.
Best wicket-keper,
and arguably one of the best batsman.
All three descriptions above is Imlach.
He just looks confident on the field.
If Hope is not picked, I say give Imlach de cappo of test team
Time to send Braffit out to pasture.
Time to rebuild under new management, coach and captain.

on what basis? hope averages under 25 in 30 something test appearances and looked extremely uncomfortable in the red force match. If da silva can only, in your words be picked for an A team despite three hundreds in the series, then hope belongs nowhere near the test team or even the A team. Hope still struggles badly with short pitched bowling, what makes you believe he suddenly succeed against starc and co

Seeing that we'll be without Seals and Phillip for the last few matches we must play for a draw and hopefully first innings win, just play an extra bats man and another bowler,we cannot beat HE without Seales and Phillip,James can cause HE some serious problems, none of their batsmen will be comfortable against him,he moves the ball at good pace,I suppose we must play Charles as you explained.Sometimes replacements do as good or even better, how often have we seen that happen in sports specially cricket.

Hope looked uncomfortable during the match.
You really need to take off you bias when watching.
Hope looked easily the best batsman on show,
then Jangoo, despite his drop chanches.
Hope's team was in a horrible position in both innings, when he came out.
He was middling the ball and playing a test innings.
Your two openers played away from their body, and played ODI type innings.
Your bias has your blinkers on when watching any Bajan cricketers.
I wonder why its so personal with you.
How did Dasilva looked in that Bim game.
Don't mention his twin centuties against a poor bowling attack on a batsman's paradise.
Or his century against the kids of the competition.
Dasilva is not in Hope's class in fielding, batting, or keeping in any format.
In reply to TanteMerle
The difference is da silva has three centuries for the season already..........hope has none
fixed it
In reply to TanteMerle
Tante, every one is entitled to his own opinion. Mine is that each of Silva and Hope have played 2 significant innings for WI. Difference is that Hope played both of his in one test. Silva played his against England in Grenada and Oz in Brisbane. To me, they are on par
Why can't they introduce a league cup for the top 4 teams to keep the teams motivated and interest alive? Basically, the league winners will be FC comp champions. Top 4 play for the League Cup.
In reply to WIForever
They used to have one about 15 or so years ago. I think there was a shield tournament between the top two sides in the league…..when Carib was the sponsor. But the final game of the tournament this year is basically a final. The winner of the league will most likely be decided by the TT vs Guyana game
In reply to WIForever
Because that makes too much sense.
I agree with you, and will add also introduce 2 to 4 outside teams, who would not qualify for the cup, even if they finish in the top 4.
Off my head, USA, Canada, a County team or 2.
This idea is not innovative as it was done in the past.
I know people will say that monies is an issue,
well have those outside pay their expenses.
What value can our players gain, playing against Canada and the USA in a 4-day competition?
How many 4-day competition does these two team play?
The competition needs to be Home and Away, with CCC playing home games at St Augustine and the 3Ws oval, and the Academy at home.

Makes one question whether people does really watch cricket yes.
Prior to the Barbados game……which everyone agrees was a green top specifically prepared for the Trinis that backfired spectacularly, the VAST MAJORITY of wickets taken by T&T in this tournament were taken by Pierre, Cariah, and then Charles.
Don’t think any of them going to England to play cricket.
In reply to imusic
Trinis cannot beat my Eagles period.
