A former West Indies women’s cricketer is alleging that she endured prolonged sexual harassment in the regional team.
The player who has asked not to be identified, told Starcom Network that her harassment was so severe, she resorted to sleeping in the Manager’s bedroom to avoid the predatory behaviour from her teammates.
This allegation has been supported by a former manager of the team, Betty Lewis who says the allegations go back to the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

I suspect it is Not uncommon in women’s teams whether the harassment is hetero or same- gender

Women cricket issues are always kept a secret
Why did women team coach Sherwyn Campbell get fired many years ago?
Why was Matthews disciplined and dropped a few years ago?
Why was coach Walsh removed as coach?
Why did Dottin retire at age 31?

No surprise and this is also true in male sports.
I worked in both football and cricket with young males and the amount of male predators who showed up was quite a surprise.

Wow..This is not something I wanna hear about. We exist in a real world of
many issues in these Times but I dislike the thought that this seems prevalent in our
region and with our sports.
Hope those who know best can handle appropriately and of course with wisdom.

Will there be an inquiry by CWI....to clean the room....any type of harrasment specially sexual harrasment can't be wished away.... authority must have will to clean the system....
The biggest show...IPL was rocked by harassment few years ago....all brushed under carpet.....
CWI should take stringent steps against perpetrators...

What if they have to drop the majority of the team as a result?

this was just four years ago and if you believe what the ex manager said who i think should be just as culpable for not taking this to the authorities if it was that bad . they should be a zero- tolerance policy for this stuff .

So if you have a grand daughter or daughter with natural cricket ability you'll allow them to go into that environment?
The director of cricket who he may. I'd think it was Jimmy Adams has a lot to answer to.. Disgusting.

You vet all volunteers, build trust with the youth and they report things.
One time a group of students - young men and women gathered for a tutorial in my office. Class had not started yet and one of the males took out his lip gloss, was putting it on and made a student from another territory visibly uncomfortable.
I asked my students if they ever saw me putting on lipstick, lip gloss or anything else in their presence and raised issues of decorum.
After class I called the young man and told him to mind his manners around me. The kid was openly gay. Nothing is black and white on this planet but yuh have to establish rules and boundaries and people should not have to tolerate harrassment at work or in school/college.
My colleagues and I could tell allyuh stories yuh wouldn’t believe. I doubt it’s different elsewhere.
