Trump’s Defense Secretary Accidentally Texted War Plans to The Atlantic: ‘I Didn’t Think It Could Be Real,’ Editor Says
I am a cynic, I think they tried to set up this journalist. I refuse to believe that these people that careless. It was deliberate. You can just add a well known journalist to a group chat like that by mistake. Maybe they wanted to catch with classified info or something but I don't think these jokers made a mistake.

Trump admin texting War plans - Setup?
In reply to carl0002
Don’t let the average stupidity level con you into thinking these guys are operating in anything like ‘average’ spaces. Dont get tricked into thinking they playing stupid but actually cunningly brilliant.
I know ..... but on this one smh
In reply to carl0002
MAGA incompetency is astounding, from nominating a cokehead to run the defense department to the firing essential workers, deportation of legal citizens and now using a non-secure chat protocol to hash out war plans goes to show the level of stupidity under which they operate.
In reply to carl0002
They make 'the Gang that could not shoot straight' look like royal geniuses.
Never thought I would live the day when such are empowered in any government./administration.
God Help America ; it has rejected Its Blessings.
In reply to carl0002
At least they did not handle the communication via usage of a Hilary Clinton -like (personal) email server.
In reply to Drapsey
Certainly, they moved to a more risky option plus communicating in unsecure locations. They took it to new MAGA level heights. Wait till they find out that Hegseth was also drunk when he sent out war plans via Signal
RU listening to DNI Tulsi insistently lying that no classified info was shared? Then she has to tell more ridiculous lies to succor the 1st big lie
In reply to carl0002
This guy Hegseth doesn't come across as sober but as very flighty! He strikes me as a guy who could make a mistake and the party leader would attribute it to youthful exuberance!
Meanwhile, Donald Trump is backing National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, who accidentally added editor-in-chief of the Atlantic Jeff Goldberg to the chat
A day doesn’t go by in this administration when I don’t get a good laugh
Whilst incompetence can be damaging it is certainly entertaining
In reply to sudden
It wont be so funny when Trump and his band of incompetent goofballs set of a nuclear bomb by mistake.
In reply to XDFIX
Trump probably think its a lie the news paper telling or they told him it was a lie the publication telling. Notice when he heard about it he said he never liked the Atlantic Publication, they are nasty and write lies...like he would know the difference.
In reply to carl0002
But he's been saying that about every outlet, every person, that publishes anything remotely negative for the last decade...
And you've only just noticed it?
What the heck man, you people are living in a made up lalaland pre-Trump world or what? Of course he knows they fckd up.
Echo chamber, please, when Trump says these things its for his cult not for the TDS posse.
The left is in disarray, leaderless, pointless. Trump is king for the foreseeable future. Probably literally.
In reply to VIX
Whats your point really, I said Trump probably believe there was no truth to what the journalist wrote given what he said about the Atlantic paper...Don't really understand what you are bitching about, but carryon.
In reply to carl0002
I don't bitch, I leave that to the echo chamber.
I deal only with facts.
My points are:
Trump knows exactly what happened.
Trump plays his detractors like they're toddlers.
Trump knows they messed up.
Trump knows he can do and say whatever he wants with little repercussion as long as his base is appeased.
The left is leaderless, rudderless and insignificant.
I've been saying this for the last decade. You can snicker and giggle all you want, it means nothing. Trump's power is only growing.
In reply to XDFIX
accidentally?...Was it really accidental?
In reply to VIX
[corrected]
and here TDS means Trump Deification Syndrome
In reply to VIX
This time Vixie does make a damned good point. Trump attacks everyone and everything that isn't complimentary of him or challenges him.
It started with the Megyn Kelly 'blood coming from her wherever comment' What struck me about this issue most is 'Walz (NSA head) learned a lesson'
If you have to learn that lesson you should be nowhere at all in Nat. Sec. not even as a corporal cleaning offices with CLASSIFIED DOCS.
Isn't the lil Guyneez yout' in prison for sharing stuff with his gaming buddies? BeatD guh tell wi that was wilfull and eediat Walz was eediat mistake.
In reply to Halliwell
Google helped me with this one.
A sophisticated strategy that is far beyond the comprehension of others, in which apparent blunders are simply indicators of yet-to-be-understood brilliance
So that is what was happening in the group chat.

Ok, so I think I am getting to understand you a little bit. So because of your so called factual determination it means no discussion necessary, no analysis of the situation, just blind acceptance of what is clearly not normal and move on. You don't think that there should be any characterization of the leader of the free world, in that he can consistently go in front of the world and lie and nothing should be said as he is speaking to his base and you alone on here, within this medium, has somehow unlocked this gem, which makes you so much more entuned with whats happening and everyone else is in an echo chamber. And any discussion of such action, activities is an echo and nothing of substance can be added, removed achieved by engaging in such discussions. In other words, just shut up and dribble, have no opinion about anything, don't contribute, say nothing cuz he is just appealing to his base and that's all that matters. Am I right? That's you.
In reply to carl0002
VIX refuses to let me represent him unless it is pro bono so I will give you the free version:
VIX is more entertained by the Caribbean people (also know as misfits)'s obsession with Trump. I once saw a reporter who I swear was VIX say that we are letting Trump win when we chase every single stupid thing that Trump does.
Are we too emotionally invested? Probably?
Should we totally check out? Probably not.
Because the orange idiot does affect our way of life.
In reply to nick2020
Vix think he is 1000 degrees separated from this stuff.. what a shocker it will be when its tentacles reach out and grab him. Its started already. He might be comforted in his wisdom of recognizing he is speaking to his base while ignorant of the most salient fact that eventually it will reach out and touch him.
In reply to carl0002
Does Vix even live in the US to care?
I am not so sure.
In reply to embsallie
He Doesn't, but if you think you won't be impacted by this administrations regardless of which corner of the earth you live in... Think again.
