Good to see Keemo picking up some early wickets... one of the best bowlers in the region when he gets it right.
Hopefully with these matches he regains some confidence

Well bowled Keemo. Let us see how much belly the Tits have. Surprising that Goolie is batting so low down the order. I think that he is a more natural No 3 batsman than Jangoo. JaMo has totally fallen away and with that goes all the talk about making the test squad. As Paul Keens Douglas said decades ago. "It is not how you start, but how you finish!"
In reply to Jumpstart
Those guys were waaayyy quicker than AliMo.
Think Chris Harris from NZ or even Tendulkar. They would amble in and just float their deliveries to the batters.

Why don't CWI extend the FC comp to also have a big 4 after the league stage champions are decided. Have the top 4 teams play 2 semi finals and a final. This would be a separate cup title from the league champions.

In reply to WIForever
I would go for that. There could be a knock out Cup series between the top 4 and a similar Plate series among the bottom 4. That would mean that each team gets 9 matches for the season. Am not happy with the long breaks. I think that a one week break after every three rounds should be enough.

All season Cariah was average with the bat and ball and it is reported he went into the Jamaica game with the injury. Why didn't they play Goolie earlier, he looked a really composed player.
In addition the form of Jason has tanked again and he hasn't had a decent innings for 3 matches now. Amir is also a worry.
Having said that, if TT can get up to 275- match on if they can hold on to their catches.
Guyana bowlers have been disciplined and their fielding spectacular. TT fielding last couple matches has been school boy like.
In reply to Emir
i think Cariah was ok with both bat and ball but appears to have been carrying an injury for several weeks now. His bowling in the first couple rounds was really superb with excellent control for a leg-spinner. It is a pity that when TT needs them most, they have lost Seales, Cariah and Phillip. With all due respect to them, Hinds and Gabriel are not adequate replacements for these guys. Goolie should have been at No 3 throughout but I guess that TT, correctly in my view, went for a full bowling attack so that they could get 20 wickets in each match. I think that was the correct strategy for them and they did it in all but the Leewards match on a super dead pitch.
In reply to Emir
i have no idea why....goolie's last fc contained a hundred and he had a good enough season last year. but you know the machinations of TT cricket...egos, connections etc

I don't think we are doing that badly considering we are without 3 major players,Guyana is not running away with it as they have been doing other teams. The big advantage at the QPO is bowling first with extra movement on the first day, had we bowled first things could have been different.I don't think we are out of it yet but early wickets tomorrow limitting GHE to 300 or under,if Paul gets going then we in trouble.GHE IN THE DRIVING SEAT THOUGH.

Thanks bro
Nice that Silva and Imlach caught each other and still basically neck and neck on the runs chart. Guyana deserve to be champions yet again because whenever it is crunch time, they always find a solution. Real stuff of champions. Very proud of TT as well for their best performances in decades but still some work to do in all rounder department, where James has bowled well in parts but has not really contributed with the bat, and opening position (one of them). Middle order solid esp with Goolie back and if Cariah is back. JaMo must retire at the end of this season. He had a good run this year and so it is a good time to bow out. TT has a good pace attack with Phillips and Seales and no pace attack without them.

Ball tampering guilt pleas reported? For me this requires DQ. Your thoughts?
.....
It demonstrates a lack of discipline and national shame for two players to have tampered with the ball, with one of them hurling an object near a player.
They plead guilty.
Therefore, it is acceptable to cheat in order to win; players who do so are fined and their points are deducted.
In reply to Emir
If they admitted to ball tampering they must be DQd. I said that already.
