All the non established Test players should be first in line to play the 'A' games.
Louis,Hodge,Athanaze, Greaves plus demoted DaSilva and Motie should be the core then look to Anderson , Parris, Jewel, and Glen as batters.
Bowlers choices are many.

That is if the 'A' games precede the OZ Tests.

Simmonds or Blades in place of Oshane Thomas, James also needs another season to show he has more control of his ball placement in bowling

The timing of the South African A team visit could not be better. It gives the West Indies selectors the perfect opportunity to take a close look at some of those who have impressed in the regional tournament, along with others who were among the test squad to Pakistan but have since fallen down the pecking order, lost form or missed games through fitness. With those factors considered, I would strongly consider the following 16 players with a view toward them playing some part in the two "tests", which are due to take place in early-mid June. All of the matches on this tour are to be held at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet. Three 50 over games shall precede the two four day games.

My Squad:

Joshua Da Silva (c)
Tevin Imlach (wk)
Mikyle Louis
John Campbell
Kevlon Anderson
Alick Athanaze
Shaqkere Parris
Jewel Andrew
Javelle Glen
Jason Mohammed
Johnathan Drakes
Keacy Carty
Joshua Bishop
Ronaldo Alimohamed
Joshua James
Johann Layne

The squad is obviously batsman heavy, with my reasoning that the bowling attack for the test side is pretty much settled, I would rather take a look at extra batsmen as there should be more places up for grabs.

Despite his advancing age, I would consider Jason Mohammed purely on the strength of what he has done, consistently, with the bat. As a short term solution, he is worthy of a test debut if he performs well against the touring South Africans. Jahmar Hamilton was also considered but with a plethora of keepers & keeper-batsmen, he misses out along with the promising Carlon Bowen-Tuckett.

It might also be nice to take a look at Alzarri Joseph & Gudakesh Motie, just to keep them in the picture even though we already know what both bring to the test side.

If it's before the Australia series then it's a good opportunity to rotate as well as look at options for the Australia series.

J. Drakes
J. Andrew
T. Imlach
J. Greaves
J. Glen
G. Motie

Parris should go back to the opening the innings, as CWI needs 2 openers.

Anderson should not be on any WI team until a complete investigation has concluded on the ball tampering fiasco.

Sad but true. Teflon has mashed up a very promising career and for what??? TT had not caught up with Guyana for the whole season and were missing 3 of their top bowlers. Even the Tits had GHE as favourites to win. He should be penalised by not being picked for the A squad and obviously not for the test squad this year and let him reflect how he would have lost a valuable playing year due to his own crass stupidity.

As for the A team, I am keen to find out if the philosophy will be to give test batters a final chance or to expose young batters. If former, Hodge, Athanaze, Jangoo, Louis, Campbell form the batting line up. If the latter, Goolie, Cooper, Andrew, Glenn, Evelyn, Wickham, Drakes, Bowen-Tuckett get a run.
