Guyana does not deserve this title... match fees are not enough for this nonsense the team should be losing point.

Since Permaul was the one who started it they should thank him for his service after this tournament and move on. Make an example out of him!

Very magnanimous of you but not giving the title to HE would penalise the 8 others who had nothing to do with the acts of the other 3,I also think that HE would have beaten RF without the actions of those 3 players,I believe just fining them is not enough but a ban on 3 matches to come whenever that is should be imposed.[b]WELL DONE HE[b]

What did they do to the ball?

If it is proven that they tampered with the ball they should all be banned permanently from playing cricket for Guyana or CWI.

This is a team sport and ball tampering is a very serious charge.

Bim and JA was denied the Super50 championship for not playing in the rain so I don't see how Guyana can escape without being punished also.

Some on the team must have known about this escapade.

It demonstrates a lack of discipline and national shame for two players to have tampered with the ball, with one of them hurling an object near a player.

Therefore, it is acceptable to cheat in order to win; players who do so are fined and their points are deducted.

The suspicion arose when GT bowlers were able to extract more from the wicket without any discernable change in conditions "Alimohamed" a gently slow medium got tons of wickets this season, it begs the question about those other matches.

Those 3 players equals to 27.8 % of the team. And then you have to ask, what did other players, who were not charge, knew of if they supported it.

An appropriate punishment is 3 year bans for the players, and Guyana should forfeit the points earned. This will forever taint this season for them.

You cannot have our regional champs, I assume they will be, with ball tapering guilty finding for close to 30% of the team.

Well CWI just announced on their Facebook page that Guyana is the champion.

They spoiled what would have been a good season for Guyana.

Without some serious penalties, CWI regional cricket will be relegated to bush league.

Makes no sense - what a mess

I will not congratulate thievery. If this is the case they do not deserve to be Champions. This probably been going on all season. The players need to be suspended for 1 season and the Championship awarded to TNT.

I understand your points about Alimohammed and all the wickets he has got throughout the season,what may have transpired,maybe a closer look at the videos may say something.I still don't feel TT deserve the title,without 3 top bowlers Seales,Anderson and Cariah who is also one of our top batsman we were never going to beat HE.I don't even think TT players want the Title by that route.

This is not about TNT. It is about the integrity of the game being undermined. Personally I do not care Who wins, once it is done fairly.

My apologies to Mohammed... he wasn't involved in the ball tampering issue.

His fine is for throwing an object next to a player/official in a dangerous manner.

Permaul and Anderson are de ones who did it.

Well, based on on the history of ball tampering, it’s always a bowler trying to gain an advantage, especially one has been around.
I will lay the blame squarely on Permaul. It’s a shame he convinced Anderson to be a part of his shenanigans!
