Thank you. It was good to see eight players make over 500 runs, with a few of them much closer to 600 & in Jason Mohammed's case, not far from 700. Five batsmen also managed three or more centuries, which is a good indicator of the player having a decent appetite for big scores and not just resting on their laurels having made a good score. Importantly, there is a nice mix of experienced and younger players heading the list, which I welcome due to the lack of several of the current test match batsmen at the top of the leaderboard.

Still wondering why we could not extend the season. It is clear that we need players who are playing as much cricket as possible. Regionals should be the testing ground before they reach the international scene...

Agreed (again). That could be the Headley Weekes trophy they play for. We also need a Plate for the bottom four. Perhaps the CWI President's Plate

Home and away games are the key, The Headley Weekes trophy adds very little to the tournament.

This would be the best method and also, the fairest. An extension of the season would also allow a longer period for the cream to rise to the top. If a payer is out of touch for a few games, it removes half their season. In general, more red ball cricket is needed, especially at the A team level - i.e. the final step before international cricket.

I would like to see a North Stars vs Southern stars at the end of the season, pitting the best players against each other.
