'The Rum Shop' notwithstanding, every so often I would visit this site and be informed or entertained. I visit less often now because the level of insight has dropped precipitously. This is not meant to be an insult to fellow posters, but the coincidence of the cricketing morass in which we find ourselves is inescapable.
"....who woulda thunk it" Darren Sammy; who - at best - is of average intelligence and cricketing skills is now making decisions for CWI.

Where are the thoughtful Administrators in the WI? Our cricketers continue to do blatantly dumb things, and lack ANY degree of professionalism. Watch them bat, in the field or bowling.....they are often lackadaisical and downright nonchalant. Sadly, most of our shortcomings are due to our players not independently honing their craft . We can hardly find a pace bowler who can place the ball consistently in the same area. THIS IS SIMPLY SOLVED BY CULTIVATING MUSCLE MEMORY, which requires our bowlers to independently going into the nets to improve their skills. Steph Curry would tell of practicing thousands of 3 pointers every day. Shivnarine Chanderpaul talked of hours of lonely practice in the nets.

We need to make noise about this celebrated mediocrity in which we find ourselves.
