UNC won a majority...a very rare win by a woman.
Must not be arrogant or boastful and deliver what was promised.

Let's give her 100 days, and then I shall be commenting with threads.

For the children who live below the poverty line, I wish for prosperity. I am aware of their needs, as I support an NGO financially.

Cancel that million-dollar pension for prime ministers; give them 3500 dollars per month. evil

Areas I will focus upon...

She may have won the election, but T&T is technically bankrupt.

Her cabinet will be too inexperienced...

Indians cannot just follow along; they must break up everything... Based on past history.

She has a coalition of parties/trade unions , etc.

The promises made , it will be impossible to attain them , based on T&T's fiscal situation
Its not going to be easy...she needs people with financial acumen desperately
Get the latest fiscal position...show what the PNM left.
After one gets such information...press the reset button and show T&T your fiscal plan, asking them to support you.
The UNC cannot do it alone; all citizens must be on board.
She has health problems , plus she does not have what I suggested above...
So you can imagine the outcome.

I do not think she had to promise such to beat the PNM.

50,000 jobs ????

PetroTrin...only an entity with deep pockets can bring this refinery back to fruition
One cannot hire back those workers...too damn lazy. It will lose money.

Pension for seniors should be increased.
10% wage hike for those lazy rasses in public service...
No way. Where is such money coming from?

National Security Minister????
Murders , Home invasions, business protection and kidnappings

Destroy legislation to give Rowley and Lal Beharry Young million-dollar pensions.
Treat them as the PNM treated retired judges who couldn't afford medical treatment.

Keston Simon (African male in his forties) said, "That was great last night. The change is what we want. We want a better community."

After two terms, the PNM's Esmond Forde lost to former senior superintendent Roger Alexander of the UNC.

Simon claimed the PNM had "done nothing" for the people during its ten-year tenure.

"Now we are giving Aunty Kamla a chance to see what she could really do for us," he said of Prime Minister-elect Kamla Persad-Bissessar. "She has five years to prove to us what she could do for us what Rowley didn't do. That is what we want – a change for all the youths. All the youths are just liming on the blocks, no jobs, nothing. The youths need something.

"I'll say again, I am glad Aunty Kamla win. She has to prove herself because she is asking for a chance, so let us she what she is going to do with it."

Newsday asked if he thought the UNC could keep its many promises.

He replied, "Well I believe in giving everybody a chance to prove themselves."

He said the PNM had got a chance but failed.

Aren't the Parents (both Mother and Father) supposed to be the ones addressing this? Why is this the Government's responsibility?

DR,C.K Rowley should not have "thrown everybody under the bus" as he did,he was the leader for 10 years but when most needed he retired/resign and handed the job to S.Young who never looked or sounded like a man to hold the position he was awarded.Rowley awarded himself a Pension of $87,000 a month and "rode off into the sunset",in the meantime if a Pensioner has a savings of $25000 they won't be entitled to a monthly Pension payment, that could never be right.
