By the time I woke up and tuned on, both the losing parties in Trinidad and Tobago, and Canada elections had already conceded. That is what democracy is all about, and not all the ructions that seem to be the norm these days in some quarters. Congratulations to the winners, and in the interests of both countries, best wishes that the governing parties succeed, because when they do, everyone benefits. Democracy depends on this kind of tolerance in order to succeed. As i always do, i would not judge either governments on their long manifestos and all the grandiose campaign promises, but more so, on their efforts, taking into consideration all the challenges that they have encountered while in office.
