How did he do a bachelors at UWI for the 3 years,

Then a bachelors in London in 2 years

An MBA in 1 year, and THEN a legal practice course
…I need to ask Sudden or Snoop if that’s a conventional journey.

if you have a recognised first degree many UNIs in the UK offer a two year accelerated LLB, essentially core subjects in year one and some electives in year 2, which is sometimes formally called a Graduate Diploma in Law

the LPC is the solicitors' legal practicing certificate

the other is the Bar Professional training Course for Barristers

nowadays there is little difference between a solicitor and a barrister

and the separation no longer exists in the Caribbean

we do a taught 18 month legal practice certificate and upon graduation one becomes an attorney at law

and still there are other ways to become a lawyer in the UK

Davendranath Tancoo doesn't have what it takes to be the finance Minister for T&T to recover in 2025/2029
The PM needs a Dookeran- or Yetming-type , a very critical area for T&T to stabilize and then slowly advance.
One must also remember the PNM is ingrained in the public service.

To effectively get Trinidad and Tobago out of its financial challenges, a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach is essential.

Immediate Fiscal Measures
Emergency Budget Review: Conduct a thorough review of the current budget to identify immediate cuts in non-essential areas.
Debt Management Strategy: Develop a plan to manage existing debt, including negotiations for better terms where possible.

Economic Stimulus Package
Targeted Support for Key Sectors: Provide financial support to critical industries such as tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing to stimulate growth.
Job Creation Initiatives: Launch programs that create jobs, especially for youth, to reduce unemployment and boost consumer spending.
Strengthening Governance and Transparency
Anti-Corruption Measures: Implement strict anti-corruption policies to restore public trust and ensure funds are used effectively.
Regular Audits: Conduct regular audits of government spending and projects to ensure accountability.
Investment in Infrastructure
Public-Private Partnerships: Leverage private investment for infrastructure projects like roads, ports, and public transport to stimulate economic activity.
Modernization Projects: Invest in upgrading key infrastructure to attract foreign investment and improve local business efficiency.
Long-term Economic Diversification
Promotion of New Industries: Support sectors like technology, renewable energy, and creative industries to reduce dependence on oil and gas.
Education and Training: Invest in education and vocational training to equip the workforce with skills needed for emerging industries.
Enhancing Revenue Collection
Tax Reform: Simplify the tax system to close loopholes and increase compliance, ensuring a fair tax burden.
Improvement of Customs and Excise: Strengthen the collection processes to minimize losses from smuggling and tax evasion.
Community Engagement and Support
Public Awareness Campaigns: Educate citizens about the economic situation and involve them in discussions about recovery strategies.
Support for Small Businesses: Provide grants or low-interest loans to local businesses to help them survive and thrive.
Monitoring Progress
Regular Economic Reports: Publish regular reports on economic indicators and progress towards recovery goals.
Feedback Mechanisms: Establish channels for citizens to provide feedback on government policies and their impact.

By implementing these strategies, Trinidad and Tobago can work towards stabilizing its economy and setting the foundation for sustainable growth.
It will take more than 5 years.

Wait till they do an audit; they will see what that Idiot Imbert did?

He made up numbers and percentages to make the government look good.

The banks were by law to have 15% in withheld funds to keep them solvent.

He changed the law to 10% so the government can borrow more from the banks.

When oil and gas prices went up, he boasted about the monthly increase and debt resulting in alow percentage

When it went down, he remained silent.

Petrotrin debt was transferred to Heritage Petroleum...10 years ago...it was $650 Million US
Each year he borrowed to pay the interest and capital...it just crossed over a billion US.

He borrowed internally for 9 years to satisfy his budgets, approximately 85 billion T&T.
T&T internal debt skyrocketed to over 130 billion .

These are just a few I got from the central bank statements; some are hidden in what I call creative accounting.
T&T owes China over 15 billion US at undeclared interest rates NDA.

Where are they going to get the funds to pay such?

Davendranath Tancoo...resume tells a story of not having the acumen fiscally for this job...not experienced.
He would have difficulty being a CFO...
