i have no problem with either one being captain and the other being vice-captain. I think that Tarnish does better with responsibility and I have long argued he should bat higher in the order. What I am looking forward to is seeing if Thanos makes a return to the test side to partner Warrican. He is a better spinner than Sinclair and we really need an offie. I hope that Motie gets a lot of bowling in on the Irish tour but I would have preferred if he had stayed home and got a pick for South Africa as his red ball bowling needs some work after the nonsense that was done to him last year by pulling him out of the test team to play that silly South American fete match tournament.

If DaSilva is given the captaincy, who should be dropped to make way for him? Should it be either Jangoo or Hodge? Hodge was the highest averaging Test batter for the WI last year. Jangoo just played one Test and deserves more chances. If Jangoo is dropped who will bat at #3. Greaves's selection might be safe as he is the all-rounder and two Tests ago scored a Test century. The Selector has some thinking to do.

Greaves is not an allrounder. Let us stop that nonsense. If you take away the Bangla century (which was not out) Greaves average is the most woeful of the woeful top 7 batsmen. Let us be real here. None of those players even Paint should be a sure pick.
