he has to do something. brazil playing like a concacaf side right now. they'll probably qualify for the tournament but if they don't do something drastic, then that side going to get an unprecedented caning. as it is, i don't think they'll reach the semis even with carlo right now, the time is too short....they'll have to give him an extended contract at least until the next copa....but a decent showing next year will auger very well for 2030.

Brazil has world class players in Goal - Allison (Liverpool), Ederson (Man City),

At Center Back - Gabriel (Arsenal), Marquinhos (PSG)

Attack - Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid), Rodrygo (Real Madrid), Raphina (Barcelona)

The rest of the squad are very average.

And that is particularly so in midfield and wide defence. And that’s where they’ve been getting killed.

They also don’t have a striker. Rodrygo is the closest they have but most of their attacking firepower usually play out wide.

Isnt Neymar coming to marshall the midfield next qualifying match in June?

Isnt Allison and Ederson not available for that next qualifier? Thet werent in the 0-4 defeat by Argentina.

Why cant they just bring back Thiago Silva for one last run? Germany or Argentina would never dismiss him if no challengers around.

Brazil problems were a dumb manager basically. Dorival Jr made Tite look like a genuis.

Like West Indies cricket, Brazilian football has been structurally adjusted and destroyed

Talking to some brazilian friends their is a belief that many brazilians footballers now are being gobbled from a much early age from these big european clubs even as teenagers and being exposed to the european model of football .and when they play for the natiobal team they dont have the flair and style that has characterised brazilian football since the 50s.i think ronaldinho said the same thing

Poor midfield and wings backs = the result they got against Argentina recently.

And that wasn’t a one off. Their entire World Cup qualifying campaign this rounds has been like that. Especially against quality teams

Doesn’t matter who you have on top or at the back

Never thought I would live to see Brazil football so low and having to
engage an Italian coach..Italy was their biggest rivals since the 30s
when WC started.
Wow. They should still get to the finals but I don't expect them to
do much. Hope I am wrong. cool

ALREADY Ancelotti talking about bringing back Casemiro for the midfield. Might very well be him and Neymar and Pacquetta.

Ancelotti is Italian int he? I would think a world famous Italian manager would know something about instilling a strong defense.

Dunga was a master of creating a strong defence.
