Wow, wow, wow! Thank You. My niece started a genealogy search and came upon a FB page of a woman of seemingly Danish descent who seemed to have used Mormon search records. It suggests that my Maternal Great-great-granddad (Maternal Grandma's grand-dad) a black man somehow migrated to Yard from St. Thomas just after slavery. It didn't say how.
