So ... Verdict Thus Far...

Are the deals being made of any real value or just fluff to hide personal gain?

I admit....am not so sure, and it's hard to find good reporting on the subject.

from what i have read the so called 2 deals to this date are Eng, and China, in so far as you can call that a deal

Eng is not much to cheer about as it did not put the USA in a better position than prior to the imposition of the tariffs

and scale back in tariff rates for China is clearly a retreat by Trump even if these are still early stages

This retreat opinion to me is sour grapes.

The US was never going to be able to live with a 145% tariff on China.

Am not just talking about tariffs either.

Everyone and everything is looking t o the deep pockets of the middle east.

Trump is all in there... do these talks and promises hold any water?

there must have been some expectation of winning

you dont start a war that you have no hope of winning

the USA cant win any war, trade or otherwise, against China

so what did they hope to achieve realistically?

Change? And am not sure what winning is in your eyes....Employees can't win a war against their employers....yet War in the form of strikes are waged endlessly.
