on his way back to England after 12 blasted years on di streets of Kingston

The Home Office has agreed to fly home a member of the Windrush generation who lived in the UK for 47 years before being wrongly deported and forced to live on the streets of Jamaica in horrific conditions for more than a decade.

In a highly unusual move and after protracted legal action, Home Office officials have accepted that Winston Knight, 64, is a member of the Windrush generation and have agreed to revoke his deportation order.

Speaking to the Guardian from Kingston, Jamaica, Knight said he was delighted to finally be on his way back to the UK after more than a decade of enduring horrific conditions on the streets.

Ah yes, because living on the streets in a country you pretty much don't know/remember was always going to be the stuff 'classic' Disney movies were made of.

For more than 400yrs. the practice has been exploit, exploit then dump. In the heights of slavery it was thought that the price of A Jamaican Slave was
worth 5yrs of labor so no big deal if the slave died after 5yrs. Depreciation, profit and insurance took care of all that.

Providing for a son of the soil is a government responsibility especially those who fall on hard times, no?

From the report it seems like the government left him on the street to rot!

The Yard government only has 3 million persons to take care of in Jamaica....Every human being in Jamaica should at least be given a comfortable life by any government.

Food , shelter and dignity should not cost that much in Yard.

Good question but both you and X-MAN are 'conflating' he, unless by his own volition should never have touched Yard's soil 12yrs ago.

Only 3 million people to take care of eh. It's Yard, not Sweden. There's rich countries like the UK and USA that have people living on the streets there too. And doh give me population excuses because states/provinces/counties/municipalities are responsible for that shit, and within each of those the amounts are manageable. But instead of providing shelter, some of those rich nations busy tekking tax dollars to lotion zionists abroad and beef up military.

Anyway, do you know the exact situation? Was he offered homeless shelter dwellings and turned his nose up at it? Too proud? No family left back in Jamaica to take him in? Was he able to leave the UK with whatever money he may have earned in that infallible nation? Maybe XDFIX can shed some light on that. After all, countries like those would never tek yu hard earned money weh and dash yu out...innit. Only dem corrupt no good places.

Tell us more.

Homeless people all 'bout. Welcome to planet earth.

Is who send the Chinese? China? Dem send dem wid money and ting? I don't any of the Chinese or Indians who turn up with dem two long hand and get freebies just suh. Was there an agreement between Yard and wherever those people came from in exchange for something?

Did the UK government workout a sweet deal with the Jamaican government when they tossed his ass out of Old Blighty? Any details that we can peruse? Doh tell me dem wukliss Yardies eat off him tings and left him flapping in the wind.

Where in the report did he say he sought help from the government and they turned him down? I only see him mentioning being abused and called English and deportee, and that appeared to be by people on the street whom he encountered. Aside from that and the fact that the UK kicked him out for being a convicted criminal they wanted no more part of, what other information do you have?

It's funny how you were talking so reckless as if the country he got tossed from doesn't have homeless people too. Worse yet, consider the country run by your zaddy Donald.
