So what if Chase fails, what next?

Some fans have been wondering what contingency plans CWI has in placed, should Chase fails? Considering that he was dropped from the team due to poor or inadequate performances, and making him captain will not necessarily improve his performances.
Are they willing to do a “Sammy”, by playing with technically one less player aka “specialist captain”? Considering this test team is not loaded with star players like when Sammy led the champion team.

Chase success will be measured in terms of building of core players in test team....even draw in 8 tests, would be achievement,

But on personal front, I expect West Indies to give teams run for money....2-3 wins not exaggeration....

As per your “building of core players in test team”. If we are to believe you on that statement, how comes I am not hearing of any push from fans for the selection of the one player who batted brilliantly and shouldered the batting during our last match against Australia, that is, Kirk McKenzie.

The question is, did they introduce criteria re performance for the captain?

It reminds me of the JLP; there are no job-related performance criteria, but politicians have a salary increase!

There is one poster here I do not take seriously, and you are heading in that direction with this constant call for McKenzie. He did nothing this past season to be selected to any international team. CWI did invest in him by sending him to India, but so far, he has not shown any ROI. He is a decent enough player but, like the majority in the region, he cannot play disciplined cricket.

There are several areas in the CWI cricket that I disagree with.
First, the DIC book smart is not an experience
As a coach, Sammy should have worked his way up the ladder. What is his role as a coach?
Sammy, the Coach and selector of all three formats, embodies friendliness.
Roston Chase and Warrican, how can a non-playing selected player come into a unit in cricket as a captain?
