Wasn't Blades and Andrews selected for the Ireland and England tours that are happening at the same period of time as the South African tour?

Looks like Da Silva career done in maroon.

They pick all of the hopefuls to make up the batting except him and Chase. The person who scored the most runs after Jason Mohammed in regional cricket this year.

I agree, the treatment of DaSilva here is disgraceful. Did a good previously captaining the A side in SA.

Kraigg is playing in the final A team match to be match ready for the Test against Australia. However the exclusion of DaSilva for every match of all tours could be saying something, either they are punishing him for something, or they offered him inclusion, but he told them go to hell after he was not given the captaincy of no team of any match.

Forget that. Da Silva has contributed to rare wins for WI in actual tests, Bangladesh, England and Australia. Man is only 26 years. If he don't get pick vs Aussies, he should tell them goodbye and find a county side to play for.

It's clear, Da Silva is not being picked otherwise he would have gotten the batting practice vs SA A team like Kraig.

However, they did interview him for the captaincy..so he might be in the loop.

Maybe. Probably hurt for the captaincy too

2 odd things:

1 - How late this announcement has been made

2 - when they announced the WI test captain, they made sure to mention that Shai Hope was approached and turned it down.

They announced this squad nearly a day before the first match. There are 3 squads and they haven’t mentioned anything about Da Silva at all, even though they know there will be questions.

Proper communication is obviously not a priority for CWI

Curious that Joshua Bishop wasn’t selected either. He took the 2nd most wickets in the recently concluded regional 4 day championship, and has been consistent near the top of the bowling stats for a few years now.

The 3 highest run scorers in the 4 day regional championship were not selected.

Yet St Lucia’s Gillon Tyson gets selected in all formats. Based on what exactly?

I believe these and other anomalies are precisely why they delayed naming the squad.

Some things never change.

Who selected these squads?

- Joshua Bishop was consistent with bat and ball and yet he wasn't considered?
- What did Tyson and Shields do to make all the squads? Why didn't they consider Anderson Phillips and Matthew Forde? Even young Simmonds and Chemar Holder who finished with more wickets than both of them.
- Why is Parris not in all of the squads? De man had better numbers than most of dem who made some of the squads.
