Seems our plan is to bowl nearly everything on 4th or 5th line outside offstump

Ordinary so far

6666666 off Shamar's first ball

LBW375 2025-05-21 10:27:07

All boundaries off shortish wide or full and wide

After being hammered for 6 first ball, Shamar tightens up line and length, bowls dots, then gives up last ball for a boundary

A slower-ball off-cutter wide outside off, Balbirnie reaches for it to loft but hits it straight to the fielder and down Motie's throat. End of a fine knock.

50 for Tex as he continues to inch to that 50+ average

Ireland is really rotating the strike nicely with 1s and 2s and not necessarily only looking for boundaries - smart batsmanship

Shamar looks a bit rusty and lacking match fitness. Hopefully we can get him up to speed by the time we start to play England and then into the Australia series

Forde to Dockrell, OUT
Slower delivery does the trick, again! Change of pace slower bouncer darted outside off, Dockrell goes for the big heave shot and hits it flat towards deep mid wicket, a straightforward catch for Evin Lewis near the ropes

Players look a bit rusty with some sloppiness in the field. I would have thought, if they are going on a tour they they would have gone a little earlier and played a couple of practice matches to work out those kinks.

Totally unnecessary

No run there. None

LBW375 2025-05-21 14:20:09

Windies - wide of the wicket, short

Ireland - just outside offstump, most full, on stumps, threatening, no room to drive

Acid 2025-05-21 14:22:55

Lewis running with the bat in the air shock

Sammy should make a note of that and coach him on running

Definitely pitched in line and would have crashed into middle and leg. Easy decision for the umpire. West Indies in all sorts of strife.

Thomas Mayes to Shai Hope, out Bowled!! Maiden international wicket for Thomas Mayes. What a beauty too. Cleans Shai Hope up with a cracking inswinger. Goes wide of the crease and bowls the big inswinger, Shai Hope gets forward to drive and the ball sneaks through the big bat and pad gap, past the inside-edge and hits top of off-stump. West Indies crumbling here. Mayes is thrilled to bits as he roars.

No excuse here. We'll pin full blame on Brandon King who wasted away so many dot balls up front in scoring a measly 19 runs off 29 balls.

He even got a chance on which he couldn't capitalize.

Full and curves in late on off, Greaves gets forward to drive and it's a thick outside-edge, goes low to Stirling's right and he makes no mistake with a good catch. Gets up and throws the ball away in delight. Time for drinks too.
